    摘要: A device for controlling a bicycle derailleur comprises a control member which is rotatably mounted on the handlebar adjacent to a fixed handgrip. The various operative positions of the rotatable control member are defined by indexing means comprising a toothed wheel which is rigidly connected to said rotatable control member and a plurality of resilient engagement members carried by said supporting body and able to selectively engage the vanes between the teeth of the toothed wheel. The supporting body has a C-shaped configuration with two wings which can be clamped by a screw which is also used to rotatably support a pulley on which the flexible control cable actuated by the rotatable control member is engaged.

    摘要: To easily and inexpensively manufacture a shift lever by a forming mold of a simple structure for insert-molding without using another component such as a cap member or the like for preventing resin from penetrating into the hollow interior of the pipe member. The shift lever is formed such that a resin member is integrally formed onto a rod member by molding in a state in which an opening of a hollow pipe hole of the rod member is exposed outside of a forming mold for insert-molding or is closed with a forming mold for closing an end opening. Accordingly, when resin is injected into the forming mold for insert-molding, resin is prevented from penetrating into the hollow pipe hole of the rod member so that the shift lever in which the resin member is reliably formed onto the rod member can be obtained.

    摘要: A control lever assembly includes a mounting bracket on which a control lever and detent plate are supported. The bracket presents a generally planer sliding surface in which a detent element is formed. The control lever and detent plate are supported on the bracket for movement across the sliding surface, and the detent plate includes a finger that is supported for pivotal movement about an axis extending in a direction parallel to the sliding surface. A pair of opposed side walls are provided on the detent plate for guiding the pivotal movement of the finger while preventing the finger from shifting relative to the plate along the pivot axis of the finger. A spring is provided for biasing the finger against the sliding surface so that when the lever is pivoted to a position in which the finger is aligned with the detent element, the finger is forced into engagement with the element and holds the lever in that position.

    摘要: In a shift device for an automatic transmission, notches, which are adapted to be engaged by a roller mounted to a detent spring, is defined in an upper surface of a shift restraining plate secured to a base plate, and a surface of a recess defined in an inner surface of the shift restraining plate is formed into a restraining cam surface which is adapted to be engaged by a lock pin. Mounted to an outer surface of the shift restraining plate are a shift lock mechanism for retaining the lock pin in a parking position maintaining groove in the restraining cam surface, and a forcedly-lock-releasing mechanism capable of releasing the operation of the shift lock mechanism by a manual operation. The shift restraining plate is commonly used for a detent mechanism for resiliently retaining a shift lever at any of a plurality of shift positions, and a shift restraining mechanism for restraining the shift position of the shift lever. Thus, it is possible to eliminate a misalignment between both of the detent mechanism and the shift restraining mechanism, and to easily mount the shift lock mechanism and the forcedly-lock-releasing mechamism to the shift restraining plate without obstruction by both of the detent mechanism and the shift restraining mechanism.

    摘要: An ignition key mounted on the steering column of a motor vehicle turns a gear wheel as the key is rotated among multiple positions. The gear wheel continually meshes with a steering column lock actuator assembly and moves the assembly according to the position of the ignition key and gear wheel. The actuator assembly defines a cam surface, which causes a pawl to pivot when the ignition key is moved to a lock position and permits the pawl to return to an unlocked state when the ignition key is moved from the lock position. The gear shift mechanism includes a tube pivotably supporting a gear shift lever at one end and a control selector lever at its opposite end. A plunger, in continual contact with the gear selector lever and control lever, is resiliently biased by a spring toward a position that brings the control lever into contact with detent surfaces on an insert. The tube defines a slot, aligned axially with a recess formed on the plunger, displaceably mounted within the tube. When the gear selector lever moves to the Park position and the ignition key is in the Lock position, the pawl pivots through the tube slot and into a recess on the plunger, thereby preventing axial displacement of the shift mechanism. The plunger seals the tube slot and prevents entrance of the pawl when the gear selector is moved to any position other than park.

    摘要: A gear selector inhibitor and warning signal switch for the power transmission gear selector mechanism of an automotive vehicle having primary torque drive gears and an idler pinion selectively engageable with a drive gear. The inhibitor and switch unit includes a spring biased plunger that urges engagement of the plunger with a bellcrank, which is adapted to move the idler into meshing engagement with the drive gear when the gear shift mechanism transmits shifting motion to the bellcrank. In this condition, the plunger is forced by the shift mechanism out of engagement with the bellcrank and this action operates to make a connection between electrical terminals on the plunger and electrical receptacles for the terminals thereby completing an electrical circuit that produces a sensible warning indication that the shift mechanism has engaged the bellcrank. When the shift mechanism is disposed for drive by other than the idler-engaging drive gear, the shift inhibitor positively locks the bellcrank against errant movement and the warning lamp circuit is opened.
