摘要: A headphone device including (i) a first and second earpiece, (ii) a headbow adjustably connecting the first and second earpiece, wherein the first and/or the second earpiece is extendable from the headbow, and wherein the headbow includes (a) an inner cavity and (b) a fastener positioned within the inner cavity at a midpoint of the headbow, and (iii) a cable assembly including a cable formed into a sinusoidal pattern when the cable assembly is in a resting position, the cable assembly extending between the first and second earpieces and positioned within the inner cavity in the resting position such that the cable assembly is extendable within the inner cavity from the resting position when the first and/or second earpieces are extended from the headbow, and wherein a midpoint of the cable assembly is fixed, within the inner cavity, at the midpoint of the headbow via the fastener.

摘要: A damping system for an ear cup headphone design. The damping system introduces a completely enclosed inner acoustic volume in the rear volume of the ear cup by way of supporting a baffle damper spaced apart from the driver of the ear cup, wherein the density of the baffle damper diffuses acoustic wave rearwardly emanating from the driver. 摘要: Various techniques for performing automated detection and control of audio-based conditions for headsets and like wearable audio devices are disclosed herein. In an example, an audio headset device includes at least one sensor to collect sensor data and processing circuitry to detect an applicable audio control condition, based on the sensor data, to cause control of the audio to be output from the headset device. Also in an example, a computing device includes an audio control processing component to receive and process sensor data collected from a headset audio device and identify a control action in a software application, to cause control of audio to be output to the headset. Further examples to enable simplified, dynamic audio controls for the operation of a headset device and a connected computing device are also disclosed.

The cushion defines an inner opening and includes a contact surface along a periphery proximal part of the cushion. The contact surface is configured to abut against and contact a user's head around an ear of the user when the headset and/or hearing protection device is worn by the user. The contact surface of the cushion has a predetermined height profile where respective height values of the predetermined height profile at multiple locations of the contact surface vary about a center or center point of the cushion. The locations are located nearest or towards the inner opening, and a first height of the predetermined height profile is a globally largest height. The first height is located in an upper front-facing part of the cushion.

摘要: A headset presents audio sounds with first and second speakers disposed in first and second earcups that fit over first and second of an end user's ears. One ear cup adjusts with a greater travel distance relative to the other earcup so that the headset rests on the end user head with the one earcup raised above an ear and the other on an ear. A position sensor disposed in the headset detects the headset configuration to turn off audio at the speaker of the earcup that is displaced from the ear while increasing volume at the speaker of the earcup that remains over an ear. In addition, when only one ear is covered by an earcup, the audio presentation converts from stereo to monoaural.

摘要: An electronic device receives audio from an audio source and outputs the audio via speakers of the device. While outputting the audio via the speakers, the device senses its surrounding environment, and adjusts its operation, based on the sensed environment, to alert a listener wearing the device. The adjustment may comprise generation of one or more audio, visual, and/or vibration notifications to the listener using the device. A volume of the audio output via the speakers may be adjusted based on the sensed surrounding environment. The device may detect whether a first condition is present in the surrounding environment, decrease the volume when the first condition is detected in the surrounding environment, and increase the volume when the first condition is not detected in the surrounding environment.

摘要: A headset having game, chat and microphone audio signals is provided with a programmable signal processor for individually modifying the audio signals and a memory configured to store a plurality of user-selectable signal-processing parameter settings that determine the manner in which the audio signals will be altered by the signal processor. The parameter settings collectively form a preset, and one or more user-operable controls can select and activate a preset from the plurality of presets stored in memory. The parameters stored in the selected preset can be loaded into the signal processor such that the sound characteristics of the audio paths are modified in accordance with the parameter settings in the selected preset.
