    摘要: A fuel supply system includes a feeder fuel circuit configured to: (i) convey a first fuel in a direction of a mixing tank via a first pump device proceeding from a first fuel tank for a first fuel type; or (ii) convey a second fuel in the direction of the mixing tank via the first pump device proceeding from a second fuel tank for a second fuel type; and a booster fuel circuit configured to convey fuel via a second pump device proceeding from the mixing tank in a direction of at least one marine diesel engine, the booster fuel circuit having an automatic fine filter positioned upstream of or downstream of the at least one marine diesel engine and in the booster fuel circuit, respectively.

    摘要: A first fuel rail of an engine connects to first fuel injectors and a second fuel rail connects to second fuel injectors. The first fuel injectors each includes a tip portion projecting through an opening in the cylinder head into the combustion chamber. The second fuel injectors each includes a tip portion projecting through an opening in a bottom portion of an intake port. The first fuel rail includes first mounting brackets each including an aperture, and outwardly projecting mounting bosses, and fixedly attaches to the cylinder head via fasteners that pass through the apertures of the first mounting brackets and attach to the mounting bosses of the cylinder head. The second fuel rail includes second mounting brackets each including an aperture. The second fuel rail fixedly attaches to the first fuel rail via fasteners that attach to the mounting bosses of the first fuel rail.

    摘要: A dual fuel system for an engine is disclosed. The dual fuel system may have a first fuel supply providing a first fuel to the engine, and a second fuel supply providing a second fuel. The dual fuel system may also have a regulator configured to pass the second fuel from the second fuel supply to the engine, with the regulator also in fluid communication with the first fuel supply. The dual fuel system may further have a damper in fluid communication with the first fuel supply and an output of the regulator.

    摘要: The invention relates to a self-igniting internal combustion engine (10) with ether fumigation of the combustion air for vehicles, wherein to provide for ether fumigation, a feed means (1, 2, 3) is provided for an alkanol fuel in the flow direction, an exhaust gas heat exchanger (4) is provided for cooling a portion of the exhaust gas arising from the firing of the internal combustion engine (10) and for vaporizing the alkanol fuel fed while at the same time absorbing the thermal energy to be dissipated during cooling of the exhaust gas, and a catalyst (5) is provided for dehydrating the evaporated alkanol fuel to form ether, and wherein the feed means (1, 2, 3), the exhaust gas heat exchanger (4) and the catalyst (5) are connected to the combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine (10) and adapted in such a way that a portion of the fuel required to fire the internal combustion engine (10) can be fed to the combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine (10) by way of the ether fumigation of the combustion air while mixing in the exhaust gas cooled in the exhaust gas heat exchanger (4). The invention further relates to a method for ether fumigation of the combustion air in a self-igniting internal combustion engine for vehicles.

    摘要: In an engine system of a machine having a multi fuel engine system, the occurrence of transient events such as gear shifts, grade changes and machine speed changes may be anticipated, and a fuel substitution strategy may be adjusted if necessary to optimize performance during the transient events. Transient events at a worksite may be anticipated and mapped by evaluating shift control logic strategies and worksite maps with truck route, speed and topographical information and determining where the fuel substitution strategy cannot meet the power requirements for the transient event. When it is determined that the machine is approaching an anticipated transient event, an appropriate fuel substitution adjustment can be executed to ensure the engine has sufficient power for the transient event.
