Abstract:
A wireless battery-operated window covering assembly is disclosed. The window covering has a head rail in which all the components are housed. These include a battery pack, an interface module including an IR receiver and a manual switch, a processor board including control circuitry, motor, drive gear, and a rotatably mounted reel on which lift cords wind and unwind a collapsible shade. The circuitry allows for dual-mode IR receiver operation and a multi-sensor polling scheme, both of which are configured to prolong battery life. Included among these sensors is a lift cord detector which gauges shade status to control the raising and lowering of the shade, and a rotation sensor which, in conjunction with internal registers and counters keeps track of travel limits and shade position.
Abstract:
The present invention is an adjusting mechanism for a controlling switch which comprises a transmission mechanism. The gear of the transmission mechanism is meshed with a driving gear and a worm is driven via an inner gear. The worm is further meshed with a driven gear of the adjusting mechanism. The driven gear is provided with clutching plates at both sides. A stopping block biased by a resilient spring plate is disposed adjacent to the clutching plate such that the clutching plate is pressed against the driven gear and is rotated together with the driven gear. The clutching plate is provided with a coil spring externally and centrally. The resilient spring plate is further provided with a triggering rod such that the clutching plate can be removed from the driven gear. On the other hand, the clutching plate can be also moved back to its original position by the coil spring such that the stopping block will press onto a rocker arm and the switch will be triggered off. The stopping block can be readily adjusted such that the driving mechanism can be readily triggered off in both clockwise and counterclockwise rotations.
Abstract:
A device for shutting off the rotary movement of a shaft driven by an electric motor via a reducing gear, after an adjustably predetermined number of revolutions, particularly a shaft for activating a window covering such as a blind with individual slats, with several ring-shaped switching disks arranged next to one another in their axial direction, each having a notch on its outside, which disks can be rotated about their common axis when the shaft is driven, with a rocker switch pressed against the switching disks by a spring and resting against the outside of the disks, which rocker shuts off the drive of the shaft when it simultaneously drops into the notches of all the switching disks, and on the inside of which disks inside gear teeth are provided, with the number of teeth being different from the number of teeth of the other switching disks in each instance, where the switching disks can be driven on their inside gear teeth by means of a gear wheel driven by the shaft, where the gear wheel is arranged coaxially on the shaft, so as not to rotate on it, and is directly engaged with the inside gear teeth of the switching disks during operation, where the outside diameter of the gear wheel is smaller than the inside diameter of the switching disks by at least twice the gear tooth height, and where the switching disks are arranged so that they can be shifted radially relative to the gear wheel.
Abstract:
Motorized device (2) for rolling up cords or tapes (13, 15) of Venetian or folded blinds, equipped with an automatic stopping device detecting a blockage of the motor. This automatic stopping device consists of a screw (6) carrying a traveling nut (7) rotationally retained in a tubular housing (9). Stoppage of the motor is caused by the detection of a blockage of the motor by the travelling nut (7) rotationally retained in a tubular housing (9). Stoppage of the motor is caused by the detection of a blockage of the motor by the travelling nut (7), or the blind, coming up against the casing. The bottom stopping point is adjusted by unblocking the cage (9) and rotationally driving it.
Abstract:
A failsafe limit switch with automatic reset for a rolling fire door is usable together with a rolling door with a brake. There is a movable plunger between a secured position and a triggered position which compresses a spring as it moves from its triggered position to its secured position. A movable catch between the engaged position and the released position holds the plunger in the secured position when the catch is in the engaged position under the impetus of the spring when the catch is in the released position. When the catch is in the released position, it also closes the contacts of a normally open switch; and if the catch is in the engaged position, it allows the contacts of the switch to open. The switch is wired in series with a solenoid; the movable arm of the solenoid acts to move the plunger from the triggered position to the secured position when the solenoid is energized. A collar constrained against rotation is threadably mounted on a shaft, the linear position of the collar with respect to the catch is a function of the angular position of the shaft. For a specific angular rotation of the shaft, the collar contacts and releases the catch.
Abstract:
Disclosed are methods and an apparatus for mounting and deployment of retractable covering devices, in particular, light control window covering including a lobed head rail to prevent creasing and/or skewing of the window covering when rolled up, the head rail having means for attaching the window covering which insures proper alignment of the window covering. Also included are a bottom rear rail having an antiskewing device which comprises a slidable weight for compensating for skewed roll up; a flip-catch device for preventing wrong-way roll up of the window covering; and a top-catch mechanism for preventing both wrong-way roll up and over rotation in the proper roll up direction.
Abstract:
A safety stopping device particularly adapted for use with an electric steel rolling door is disclosed which comprises a transmitter mounted on a base plate of the rolling door and a receiver mounted on and directly connected to the electric motor used for driving the rolling door. In addition, various transmit switches are mounted on the underside of the aforementioned base plate to indicate to the transmitter when an obstruction is encountered. Upon occurring an obstruction, a signal is transmitted to the receiver whereupon the flow of current to the electric motor is interrupted to cause the electric rolling steel door to automatically stop.
Abstract:
A device having a shutter windable around a spindle and especially adapted to close a bay or other opening by the unwinding of the shutter, the same having flexible side edges which project beyond the shutter plane and which are retained with reduced friction in substantially continuous guideways during the unwinding and winding up of the shutter, that shutter edges may disengage from their guideways when subjected to a predetermined pull transversely to guideway. Each guideway has near and upstream of the shutter spindle an access passage through which the projecting edge of any shutter which has disengaged from the guideway can re-engage, as the shutter winds around its spindle, in that part of the particular guideway concerned which is disposed beyond the passage.
Abstract:
The device can control an electric motor intended to rotate the drive shaft of a movable member, solar protection member, closure member or the like. The control device comprises a pulse generator device and an angular position coder, governed as regards rotation by the drive shaft, provided for supplying a signal permanently to a logic processing unit connected, through the intermediary of an input-output interface, to the terminals of the pulse generator device and of the coder and, through the intermediary of an output interface, to the electric motor. The means for regulating the stopping positions are constituted by switches connected, through the intermediary of an input interface, to the logic processing unit, in order to memorize the desired angular stopping positions in the working memory of the latter. A non-volatile memory is connected to the logic processing unit for safeguarding these angular positions in the case of a cut in the power supply. The logic processing unit is provided on the one hand for permanently analyzing the signal supplied by the generator device and by the coder, calculating the angular position of the drive shaft and comparing it with the desired angular stopping positions, and on the other hand for interrupting the rotation of the motor as soon as the calculated position and the desired stopping position are identical.
