Abstract:
A mounting system for securing a non-retractable covering material in an architectural opening includes an anchor strip securable to the covering material having a plurality of openings therethrough and a three piece clip securable to the surrounding frame of the architectural opening including a taper head pin for insertion into an opening in the anchor strip with the pin being universally movable through a unique design of the clip which includes a base, a pivot arm and a slide clamp on the pivot arm.
Abstract:
An improved equalizer for gripping two or more cords of a shade is described. The equalizer of the invention comprises a molded body member having a tapered inner channel into which a molded insert member fits. The cords are placed within the channel through a gap formed in one wall of the body member, and are clamped against a rear wall thereof by the insert member. As the insert member is inserted more fully into the body member, the cords are compressed between the insert and the rear surface of the body member, and the insert is permanently wedged into the body member.
Abstract:
A panel is provided including multiple rows of parallel cells extending transversely of the rows and with the cells of adjacent rows of cells staggered longitudinally of the rows relative to each other, two, three, four and five cell row panels being disclosed. The panels are formed by folded material strips stacked one upon the other with each material strip having portions thereof glued together and adjacent material strips in each stack of strips glued together such that each material strip forms at least one complete cell of one row of cells and at least three-quarters of an adjacent cell in an adjacent row of cells. Also, a support system is provided for supporting the upper margin of a vertically disposed multi cell row panel wherein an upper cell or cells has one or two horizontal stiffening strips disposed therein and spaced beneath a stationery support strip. One of the stiffening and support strips is provided with headed projections projecting toward the other strip and the other strip includes openings through which the projections may be inserted and retentively retained by the heads on the projections after the projections are forced through the upper wall portions of the cell or cells in which the stiffening strip or strips are received.
Abstract:
Disclosed are methods and an apparatus for mounting and deployment of retractable covering devices, in particular, light control window covering including a lobed head rail to prevent creasing and/or skewing of the window covering when rolled up, the head rail having means for attaching the window covering which insures proper alignment of the window covering. Also included are a bottom rear rail having an antiskewing device which comprises a slidable weight for compensating for skewed roll up; a flip-catch device for preventing wrong-way roll up of the window covering; and a top-catch mechanism for preventing both wrong-way roll up and over rotation in the proper roll up direction.

Abstract:
An improved cord lock for a window shade is described. The cord lock comprises a molded body member in which are formed first and second cord bearing surfaces and a locking dog support. The cord bearing surfaces are shaped to direct the cords laterally outwardly of the shade member and so that the cords tend to avoid becoming tangled. The locking dogs are arranged such that the cord is secured automatically upon release, thus providing "crash-proof" operation. A shroud formed of a different material than the molded body member encloses its periphery. This provides a particularly attractive appearance for the completed unit.
