Abstract:
A system for illuminating a carriageway in a case of fog includes a road safety barrier arranged along the carriageway, at least one fog density detecting device arranged along the road safety barrier, and a plurality of light sources borne by the road safety barrier, distributed along the road safety barrier, and oriented for each to emit a light beam having a direction that is transversal to an extension axis of the road safety barrier so as to illuminate signage on the carriageway. A control unit that is connected to the light sources and to the fog density detecting device is configured to activate the light sources when the fog density detecting device detects a fog density value of above a threshold value.
Abstract:
A traffic director includes a distal end and a proximal end, two or more sides extending upward from the proximal end at an angle toward the distal end, a proximal notch disposed near the proximal end between two adjacent sides, and the proximal notch forms a first flexion point of the traffic director. The traffic director can further include one or more recessed channels formed in at least one of the two or more sides. The one or more recessed channels forms a second flexion point of the traffic director. The traffic director can further include a removable indicator sleeve having an advertisement or directional indicator printed thereon.

Abstract:
A backlight refraction lens includes a body formed with an incident face and an emergent face, wherein the incident face has a raised periphery and an axis formed with an angle with an axis of the body, the angle, between the axis of the incident face and the axis of the body, set between 35 degrees to 65 degrees such that the ray light going into the body along an incident angle within 15-45 degrees is mostly projected from the emergent face after being refracted. The backlight refraction lens promotes the visibility and identification of objects on the outdoor kanban board when the outdoor kanban board is in a backlight condition such that the conventional LEDs are unnecessary to the outdoor kanban board that has a series of backlight refraction lens in accordance with the present invention mounted thereon.
Abstract:
A flashing beacon may include a signal unit, a control unit associated with the signal unit, a solar panel or collector, and an activation device that may all be mounted or otherwise positioned on a post of a roadway sign. Light units associated with the signal unit may be programmed to flash on and off in a unique wig-wag pattern. Further, a light bar may also be used with the beacon to generate an intense flash of light soon after activation of the beacon as an additional means of grabbing the attention of the operator of a vehicle.
Abstract:
A combination dock light, safety light, and bollard serves the purposes of all three, without having any sensitive structure projecting out from the bollard into the traffic lane at the loading dock. A trailer lamp assembly within the bollard projects out a window cutout at an upper end of the tubular metal body of the bollard. A red/green safety light is visible through an elongated cutout on the proximal side of the bollard. A photo eye turns the lamp on when the loading dock door is opened, and off when the dock door is closed, and also switches the safety light to green or to red depending on whether the dock door is opened or closed.

Abstract:
A device is for lighting and/or demarcation of pedestrian crossings. Normally pedestrian crossings are in many cases difficult to identify by users, because they are insufficiently lit or demarcated. Posts or columns are provided with lighting means formed by lighting advertising lamps which light and/or demarcate pedestrian crossings perfectly. The correct lighting of pedestrian crossings is achieved by lighting lamps placed mainly in the lower part of the posts or columns, with the effect that the light beams thereof spread out and light the surface of the pedestrian crossing. The demarcation of pedestrian crossings is achieved by positioning posts or advertising columns in at least one corner at each end of the pedestrian crossing.
