Abstract:
The present specification discloses honeybee repellents exhibiting repellent properties similar to 2-heptanone, compositions comprising such repellents, uses to repel a honeybee from a mammal, location, plant, structure treated of such repellents, and methods of treating a mammal, location, plant, structure by applying such repellents.
Abstract:
A controlled release biocidal salt of a first component comprises a cation of a Nα-(C1-C22) alkanoyl di-basic amino acid alkyl (C1-C22) ester cationic biocidal molecule and a second component comprising an anion of a monomeric anionic molecule having insignificant biocidal activity. The salt is characterized such that when the salt is exposed to an aqueous medium, the salt partially dissolves thereby releasing biocidal ions in an amount sufficient to exceed the MIC or MBC of a target bacteria being controlled, and further characterized as leaving a residual reservoir of undissolved salt capable of releasing more biocidal ions as the salt is consumed or otherwise removed from the environment encompassing the target bacteria. The preferred cationic biocidal molecule comprises Nα -lauroyl-L-arginine ethyl ester (“LAE”).
Abstract:
A fungicidal composition having a synergistic effect is provided. The composition includes active ingredients A and B. The active ingredient A is polyhexamethylene biguanide or an agriculturally acceptable salt thereof, the active ingredient B is one selected from prochloraz, epoxiconazole, benthiavalicarb-isopropyl, zoxamide, azoxystrobin, prothioconazole, difenoconazole, fenamidone, polyoxin, iprodione, acibenzolar, dithianon, pyraclostrobin, trifloxystrobin, picoxystrobin, fluazinam, thifluzamide or dimethomorph, and the weight ratio of the two ingredients is from 1:50 to 50:1. The test results show that the fungicidal composition according to the present invention has an obvious synergistic effect, and importantly, the application rate is reduced, such that the cost is lowered. The application rate of a single agent alone is effectively reduced by combining the fungicides of different mechanisms and modes of action, which is beneficial for broadening the fungicidal spectrum, retarding the resistance development of the fungi and improving the control effect.
Abstract:
The novel active compound combinations comprising 2-[2-(1-chlorocyclopropyl)-3-(2-chlorophenyl)-2-hydroxypropyl]-2,4-dihydro-[1,2,4]-triazole-3-thione of the formula and the active compound of groups (1) to (24) listed in the description have very good fungicidal properties.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an antiseptic composition comprising a germinant and an antimicrobial agent, wherein the germinant increases a pathogen's susceptibility to attack from the antimicrobial agent and wherein the antimicrobial agent does not inhibit the germinant. The present invention also provides an antiseptic wipe, handwash or paint comprising such antiseptic composition and a method of sterilizing a surface using such a composition.
Abstract:
An antimicrobial composition includes benzalkonium chloride in an amount of 0.06% w/w to 0.19% w/w and cocamidopropyl PG-dimonium chloride phosphate in an amount of 0.6% w/w to 1.9% w/w. The composition also includes propylene glycol in an amount of 0.4% w/w to 1.2% w/w and triethylene glycol in an amount of 0.1% w/w to 0.3% w/w.
