Abstract: Augmented reality (AR) systems, devices, media, and methods are described for sending and receiving AR objects (e.g., customized AR objects) based on/responsive to interactions with the physical world. AR virtual delivery route overlays are generated responsive to selected virtual delivery routes and include the AR object and a delivery mode (air, tunnel, etc.) corresponding to the virtual delivery route. Physical world actions associated with the delivery mode (blowing adjacent an AR device or scratching a surface) result in sending a communication corresponding to the AR object for delivery to a receiver and generating AR sending overlays including the AR object moving in accordance with the delivery mode.

Abstract: The online co-location connection service is provided by a messaging system configured to selectively pair user profiles associated with respective client devices equipped with sensors that communicate with each other within the predetermined physical proximity range. The pairing is effectuated without requiring that the two client devices, at the time of pairing, are within a communication range permitted by their respective short range communication sensors and without requiring a communication between the first client device and the second client device via a short-range wireless communication technology. Subsequent to the pairing, the messaging system monitors physical proximity of the client devices based on the sensor data obtained by the co-location connection service from the respective messaging clients executing at the respective client devices. In response to detecting that the client devices are within a predetermined physical proximity range the messaging system generates a co-location experience.

Abstract: Context-sensitive remote controls for use with electronic devices (e.g., eyewear device). The electronic device is configured to perform activities (e.g., email, painting, navigation, gaming). The context-sensitive remote control includes a display having a display area, a display driver coupled to the display, and a transceiver. The remote control additionally includes memory that stores controller layout configurations for display in the display area of the display by the display driver. A processor in the context-sensitive remote control is configured to establish, via the transceiver, communication with an electronic device, detect an activity currently being performed by the electronic device, select one of the controller layout configurations responsive to the detected activity, and present, via the display driver, the selected controller layout configuration in the display area of the display.

In one aspect, a method includes measuring first accelerometer data at a first rate, detecting a first touch event based on the first accelerometer data, in response to detecting the first touch event, measuring second accelerometer data at a second rate, determining whether a second touch event is detected based on the second accelerometer data, measuring third accelerometer data at the first rate in response to an absence of the second touch event being detecting in the second accelerometer data over a predetermined threshold period of time.
