Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a UE capability message, the UE capability message indicating a supported transmit antenna switching (TxAS) capability for each port of the UE. The UE may receive a configuration message indicating an uplink multiple-input/multiple-output (UL MIMO) configuration for the UE, the UL MIMO configuration being based at least in part on the UE capability message. The UE may identify, based at least in part on the configuration message, a sounding reference signal (SRS) configuration to use for transmitting SRSs in conjunction with the UL MIMO communications, the SRS configuration comprising a configuration for transmission by the UE of SRSs using at least one of the two or more ports of the UE, the SRSs transmitted on one or more antennas of the UE selected according to a TxAS configuration for the respective port.

Abstract: Aspects relate to supporting power control for physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) transmissions on an uplink secondary component carrier (SCC) of a wireless communication system. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) receives a power control configuration from a base station for use by the UE for a PUCCH transmission on a selected uplink SCC. The UE then transmits, based at least in part on the power control configuration, the PUCCH to the base station on the selected uplink SCC. Closed-loop and open-loop power control examples are provided. In some aspects, common or shared power control configurations are provided by the base station for use with each component carrier of a PUCCH group. In other aspects, carrier-specific power control configurations are provided by the base station.

The UE may determine a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) processing timeline. The UE may transmit, to the network node, the NACK-only-based multicast feedback using the quantity of PUCCH resources and based at least in part on the PDSCH processing timeline. Abstract: Techniques are discussed herein identify transmission strategies and to communicate those identified transmission strategies in a transparent communication environment. In some examples, a user equipment (UE) may identify a new transmission strategy for a downlink channel different from a current transmission strategy for the down link channel. The UE may transmit a channel state information (CSI) message that includes an indication of the new transmission strategy identified by the UE. In some examples, a base station may identify the new transmission strategy for the downlink channel. The base station may transmit a codebook subset restriction (CSR) indicator that includes an indication of the new transmission strategy identified by the base station. In some examples, the UE may modify its feedback strategy based on the new transmission strategy.

Abstract: Some techniques and apparatuses described herein permit a user equipment (UE) to signal a capability corresponding to a number of active beams (e.g., active uplink beams) to a base station so that the UE may be appropriately configured, and so that the UE may communicate with the base station accordingly. Furthermore, some techniques and apparatuses described herein permit a UE and/or a base station to apply one or more rules and/or conditions to assist with ensuring that a UE capability, corresponding to a number of active beams (e.g., active uplink beams), is not violated, or to prevent the UE from communicating on a beam that is invalid due to a violated UE capability. Furthermore, some techniques and apparatuses described herein permit a UE and a base station to perform a beam management procedure upon beam activation to ensure that a beam is of sufficient quality for communications.
