Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-readable media, for analyzing management frames for multiple basic service sets (BSSs). In one aspect, a wireless node may obtain a first management frame from a wireless local area network (WLAN) apparatus, the WLAN apparatus operating multiple virtual access points (VAPs) respectively corresponding to multiple BSSs. The wireless node may determine whether the first management frame includes a BSS profile of a BSS associated with the wireless node based, at least in part, on an arrangement of a plurality of BSS profiles within one or more management frames. The wireless node may determine to further process the first management frame based, at least in part, on a determination that the first management frame includes the BSS profile of the BSS associated with the wireless node.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for implementing multi-link aggregation and conditional inheritance in a first basic service set (BSS). In one aspect, an apparatus may establish a first communication link with a first station (STA) of the first BSS using a first frequency band. The apparatus may determine a first link profile for a second communication link by customizing one or more management elements of management information associated with the first communication link. The apparatus may configure a first non-inheritance element of the first link profile associated with the second communication link to indicate usage of at least one management element of the management information by the second communication link is disabled. The apparatus may generate a management frame that comprises at least the first link profile, and may output the management frame for transmission.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for providing closed-loop power control during a short inter-frame space (SIFS) burst are described herein. A method includes receiving feedback associated with transmit power used to transmit a first data packet in a SIFS burst. The method also includes adjusting at least the transmit power, or a modulation and coding scheme (MCS), or a combination thereof, used to transmit a second data packet of the SIFS burst based at least in part on the received feedback.

Abstract: In a procedure for determining distance (or angle) between a pair of electronic devices wirelessly connected to one another, a current session may be temporarily suspended on request and thereafter the current session may be resumed. Temporary suspension and resumption of the current session may, for example, eliminate starting a new session between the pair of electronic devices and repeating a determination of parameters that were initially agreed upon in the current session. Temporary suspension of a current session may be signaled wirelessly, by one electronic device to the other electronic device, for example, by setting a specific value in a specific field, to signal that the current session is to be paused now, in a frame or message transmitted from the pausing device to the to-be-paused device. The current session may be resumed without repeating determination of the initially-agreed upon parameters, by transmitting a frame to initiate measurement exchange.

The disclosed architecture includes memory banks for the WiFi SoC's embedded processor that can be independently powered on/off and a Memory Management Unit (MMU) to translate virtual addresses to physical addresses and generate exceptions to process accesses to virtual addresses without a corresponding physical address. The architecture can implement a demand paging scheme whereby a MMU fault from an access to code/data not within the embedded memory causes the processor to fetch the code/data from an off-chip secondary memory. To minimize page faults, the architecture stores WiFi client code/data within the embedded processor's memory that is repeatedly accessed with small periodicity or where there is an intolerance for delays of accessing the code/data.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for adapting blind reception duration for range and congestion. A wireless station may measure channel conditions (e.g., range to an access point (AP) and channel congestion), and adjust one or more sleep timers based on the conditions. The sleep timers may each be associated with a window for reception of an expected transmission. If the transmission is not received in the window, the station may enter a sleep state to conserve power. In one example, a beacon miss timer is adjusted, and the expected wireless transmission is a delivery traffic indication message (DTIM). In another example, a content after beacon (CAB) timer is adjusted and the expected wireless transmission is the CAB. In some cases, the station may measure a delay for a number of beacons and determine the adjustment based on the delays.

Abstract: Apparatuses and methods are disclosed for delivering queued downlink (DL) data from a second wireless device to a plurality of first wireless devices. In accordance with example embodiments, the second wireless device may determine, for each of the plurality of first wireless devices, a presence of a corresponding set of queued DL data, may transmit a beacon frame identifying which of the plurality of first wireless devices has queued DL data, and may transmit, to each of the identified first wireless devices, permission to request delivery of queued DL data. Next, the second wireless device may receive, from each of the identified first wireless devices, a request for delivery of the queued DL data. Then, the second wireless device may concurrently transmit, to each of the identified first wireless devices, the corresponding set of queued DL data.
