Abstract:
Aspects of the present disclosure provide methods, systems, devices and/or apparatuses for logical channel prioritization by a user equipment (UE) within a Long Term Evolution (LTE) wireless communications network. The UE may have multiple logical channels each associated with one or more applications or services of the UE. The UE may identify whether a quality of service (QoS) obligation to allocate at least a portion of uplink resources to a logical channel for a time period is present, and may also identify whether the logical channel has control data to be transmitted from the UE. If a QoS obligation and/or control data are present for the logical channel, the UE may allocate at least a portion of the uplink resources to the logical channel.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus receives at least one MBMS service in at least one MBSFN area. The apparatus receives configuration information on at least one MCCH. The at least one MCCH includes an MCCH unassociated with the at least one MBSFN area. The MCCH unassociated with the at least one MBSFN area is an MCCH associated with an MBSFN area not currently being received by the apparatus. The apparatus constructs a list of TMGIs based on the configuration information. The apparatus updates the list of TMGIs based on at least one of an MCCH change notification message for each of the at least one MCCH or a user service description.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless node may receive one or more data messages which may include a set of packets that may each be associated with a sequence number. The set of packets may be received with a gap in the set of sequence numbers, indicating missing packets. The wireless node may forward the set of packets to a processing layer of the wireless node. The wireless node may then accept, from the processing layer of the wireless node, a set of duplicate (DUP) acknowledgment (ACK) messages based on the set of packets being forwarded to the processing layer while having the gap in the set of sequence numbers. The wireless node may transmit, a subset of the set of DUP ACKs rather than all of the set of DUP ACKs to another wireless node, such as a base station.
Abstract:
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, via a first connection of a dual connectivity mode, a first packet having a first sequence number. The UE may receive, via a second connection of the dual connectivity mode, a second packet having a second sequence number. The UE may determine, based at least in part on the first sequence number and the second sequence number, that the first packet is received out of order. The UE may maintain a packet order for reception of subsequent packets via the first connection or the second connection. The UE may drop the first packet based at least in part on the determination that the first packet is received out of order. Numerous other aspects are provided.
Abstract:
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a wireless communication device may identify, for removal from a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) buffer of the wireless communication device, a HARQ process from a plurality of HARQ processes maintained in the HARQ buffer by the wireless communication device, wherein the HARQ process is identified based at least in part on one or more HARQ buffer management parameters. The wireless communication device may remove the HARQ process from the HARQ buffer. Numerous other aspects are described.
Abstract:
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a wireless communication device may determine to discard a number of packets from a plurality of packets included in a packet stream. The plurality of packets may be associated with a context. The wireless communication device may determine that the number of packets to discard does not satisfy a threshold associated with the context. The wireless communication device may discard the number of packets. The wireless communication device may transmit the plurality of packets after discarding the number of packets based at least in part on the determination that the number of packets does not satisfy the threshold. Numerous other aspects are provided.
Abstract:
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may communicate on a first set of carriers in a first frequency range (FR) and a second set of carriers in a second FR. The UE may detect a radio link control (RLC) discontinuity on at least one of the first set of carriers or the second set of carriers. The UE may identify one or more FRs, of the first FR and the second FR, in which the RLC discontinuity occurred. The UE may transmit an RLC status report based at least in part on the identified one or more FRs. Numerous other aspects are described.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for receive chain selection at a user equipment (UE) with efficient switching between a reduced number of receive chains and an increased number of receive chains for downlink communications based on conditions at the UE. A UE may adaptively adjust the number of active receive chains based on downlink grant activity, channel conditions, network parameters, or any combinations thereof. An estimator block at the UE may determine to adjust the number of receive chains based on a number of downlink grants within one or more time periods. In some cases, grants for an amount of data that exceeds a threshold may be qualified in order to be counted at the estimation block. Further, a transient state may be provided where the UE may maintain a higher number of active receive chains until UE feedback is provided.
Abstract:
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may establish, using a first subscription of the UE, a first communication connection associated with a first service. The UE may establish, using a second subscription of the UE, a second communication connection associated with a second service. The UE may operate in a dual subscriber identity module (SIM) dual active (DSDA) mode based at least in part on establishing the first communication connection and establishing the second communication connection. The UE may perform an action to maintain concurrent services, including the first service and the second service, while operating in the DSDA mode. Numerous other aspects are described.
Abstract:
A delta configuration is signaled for handover of a wireless communication device (e.g., a user equipment, UE) from a first form of connectivity to a second form of connectivity. For example, a UE with master cell group (MCG) connectivity may be handed-over to multiple radio access technology-dual connectivity (MR-DC). In some examples, a UE with standalone (SA) connectivity may be handed-over to non-standalone (NSA) connectivity (e.g., dual connectivity). In conjunction with this handover the UE may be signaled as to whether the UE is to reuse a configuration from the first connectivity mode during the second connectivity mode.
