Abstract:
The various embodiments include a dual-SIM-dual-active (DSDA) device and methods for implementing robust receive (Rx) processing to resolve radio frequency coexistence interference between two subscriptions operating on the DSDA device. The DSDA device may detect when a subscription (the “aggressor”) de-senses the other subscription (the “victim”) as a result of the aggressor's transmissions, and in response, implement robust Rx processing to mitigate the effects of de-sense on the victim while causing minimal impact to the aggressor.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for wireless communication for improving the call performance and power consumption during the connection state of a user equipment (UE). Aspects of the methods and apparatus relate to receiving a transmit power control (TPC) command from a network entity and decoding every TPC slot of the TPC command. Aspects of the methods and apparatus include ceasing the decoding of a TPC slot set when the current decoded symbol of the TPC slot is in disagreement with the previous decoded symbol of the TPC slot. The receiver of the UE is then deactivated until the end of the TPC slot set.
Abstract:
The present disclosure describes a method and an apparatus for pruning false peaks during slot synchronization at a user equipment (UE). For example, a method is provided to identify a plurality of first peaks associated with a primary-synchronization channel (P-SCH) received at the UE and a plurality of second peaks from the plurality of first peaks. Further, one or more pruning locations along with associated energy thresholds for each of the plurality of the second peaks may be determined and whether a peak of the plurality of the first peaks is a false peak is identified based on whether the peak is located at one of the one or more pruning locations of the peak and an associated energy value of the peak does not satisfy the associated energy threshold of the pruning location. Furthermore, the peak identified as the false peak is discarded.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus are described for performing cell selection for reducing an initial acquisition time between a user equipment (UE) and a network entity, comprising measuring a signal from a cell, the signal including at least one system information block (SIB), wherein the at least one SIB includes a plurality of cell selection threshold values; attempting to decode the at least one SIB; determining, in response to successfully decoding the at least one SIB, whether one or more measurements of the signal pass or fail a cell selection criteria check that includes the plurality of cell selection threshold values; determining, in response to the cell selection criteria check failing, whether the plurality of cell selection threshold values are within range of a plurality of corresponding minimum network threshold values; and performing a cell selection procedure on the cell in response to determining that the plurality of cell selection threshold values are within range of the plurality of corresponding minimum network threshold values.
Abstract:
Apparatuses and methods include determining a first initial random access channel (RACH) preamble power based on one or more of a history of RACH preamble powers, a history of common pilot channel (CPICH) chip energy to total power density ratio (EcIo) measurements, and a history of CPICH received signal code power (RSCP) measurements, wherein each of the history of RACH preamble powers, the history of CPICH EcIo measurements, and the history of CPICH RSCP measurements corresponds to previous RACH procedures when the RACH procedure succeeded, and initiating subsequent RACH procedures with preambles that are based on the first initial RACH preamble power. Some present aspects may reduce the push to talk (PTT) call setup latency.
Abstract:
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a wireless communication device may identify, for removal from a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) buffer of the wireless communication device, a HARQ process from a plurality of HARQ processes maintained in the HARQ buffer by the wireless communication device, wherein the HARQ process is identified based at least in part on one or more HARQ buffer management parameters. The wireless communication device may remove the HARQ process from the HARQ buffer. Numerous other aspects are described.
Abstract:
The various embodiments include a dual-SIM-dual-active (DSDA) device and methods for implementing robust transmit (Tx) processing to resolve radio frequency coexistence interference between two subscriptions operating on the DSDA device. The DSDA device may detect when one subscription (the “aggressor”) de-senses the other subscription (the “victim”) as a result of the aggressor's transmissions, and in response, implement robust Tx processing to mitigate the effects of de-sense on the victim.
Abstract:
Disclosed are systems, methods, and computer program products for decoding of transport format combination indicator (TFCI) in a universal mobile telecommunications system (UMTS). In one aspect, a method includes receiving by a UE coded TFCI bit sequence on a physical channel, determining a range of TFCI bits that contain information, performing early decoding of the received TFCI bit sequence; and limiting the search set of decoded TFCI bits to the determined range of TFCI bits. The range of TFCI bits that contain information may be determined from a code book.
