A scripting language enables a systems analyst to write one or more scripts to manage the behavior of a simulation model, without having detailed knowledge of the programming language or the software architecture of the simulation model. Script specifications define the simulation procedures that the underlying simulation model expects to be present. Script definitions are prepared to change different purposes or behaviors of the simulation model. The script definitions and script specifications are matched and translated to generate a simulation code sequence. The simulation code sequence is combined with the simulation code representing the underlying simulation model. During the combination, the structure or behavior of the simulation model is manipulated or changed by commands or procedures introduced by the script-based simulation code sequence.

Human antibodies, preferably recombinant human antibodies, that specifically bind to human tumor necrosis factor α (hTNFα) are disclosed. These antibodies have high affinity for hTNFα (e.g., Kd=10−8 M or less), a slow off rate for hTNFα dissociation (e.g., Koff=10−3 sec−1 or less) and neutralize hTNFα activity in vitro and in vivo. An antibody of the invention can be a full-length antibody or an antigen-binding portion thereof. The antibodies, or antibody portions, of the invention are useful for detecting hTNFα and for inhibiting hTNFα activity, e.g., in a human subject suffering from a disorder in which hTNFα activity is detrimental. Nucleic acids, vectors and host cells for expressing the recombinant human antibodies of the invention, and methods of synthesizing the recombinant human antibodies, are also encompassed by the invention.

The present invention is drawn to a process for applying a multi-layer coating to at least a portion of a ferrous substrate. The process comprises the steps of: (a) providing a ferrous substrate; (b) applying to at least a portion of the ferrous substrate a film-forming composition that contains at least one of a corrosion inhibiting pigment and an electroconductive pigment; (c) curing the film-forming composition that was applied to the ferrous substrate in step (b); (d) forming the ferrous substrate into an end-use shape; (e) contacting at least a portion of the formed ferrous substrate with a treatment composition to yield a treated substrate; and (f) applying at least one coating composition to at least a portion of the treated substrate to form a coated substrate. The treatment composition comprises an aqueous solution of a polymer derived from vinylidene chloride.

The present invention provides numerous automated processes with which to enhance the quality of digital images. The process may be easily and intuitively chosen based on the type or genre of digital image. The overall process involves first acquiring the digital image. This image may be a digital image to be edited within a photo processing software suite or acquired by a device such as a camera or scanner. Once acquired the genre associated with the image is identified. This identification may be based on information contained within the image being imported into a photo processing software suite, may be identified by analyzing the composition and makeup of the digital image, or the actual hardware setting associated with acquiring the image with a scanner, camera or other like device. Processes corresponding to the genre are selected and applied to the image to produce a professional quality enhanced digital image.

A tuner of a digital television signal translator tunes to receive an RF digital television signal on a first selected television channel. A demodulator provides a baseband digital television signal from the RF digital television signal to which the tuner is tuned. The baseband television signal includes a data component identifying the first selected channel. A data replacer replaces the data component identifying the first selected channel with a data component identifying a second selected channel different from the first selected channel. The output of a modulator is modulated by the baseband television signal including the data component identifying the second selected channel for transmission as a digital television signal on the second selected channel.

A communication system is provided that uses loosely-coupled client-server architectures to improve the efficiency of communications. The communication system includes client and facilitator applications. The client application is a component of processor-based mobile communication devices. The facilitator application is hosted on one or more servers or other processor-based devices, and communicates with the client application via one or more couplings. The facilitator application can also be distributed among one or more portable processor-based devices including the communication devices hosting the client application. The communication system improves efficiency of voice communications by allowing communication device users to dynamically manage how and when mobile calls take place, intelligently screen calls based on caller identity, urgency, and subject matter, determine which contacts in a directory are available to talk and which ones choose not to be disturbed, and increase accessibility of enterprise and personal contact information from mobile phones.

An electronic document is created which eliminates the need to re enter data and thus reduces the incidence of errors. Quality assurance is achieved by monitoring consignments of goods with data loggers. All participants sign an agreement including predetermined transport conditions for the goods and a system manager monitors compliance using the data loggers. The system allows the consignee to acknowledge that the conditions have been complied with at the time of receipt of the goods.
