Abstract: A method of determining contextual and cognitive metadata for shared photographs in which a sender's device takes a photographic image, and stores the image in a file along with metadata associated with the sender. The file, with the image and metadata, is sent to a recipient's device, which receives and stores the file. The recipient's device gathers information about the recipient, and converts the information into tags. The recipient's device performs binary regression the tags in the metadata about the sender and the metadata about the recipient, and derives a context value (iContext) for the metadata tags. The context values for the sender and recipient tags are compared to determine a disposition for the related sender and recipient tags. The recipient device modifies the metadata in the file in accordance with the disposition; and stores the file with the image and the modified metadata.

Abstract: A tool for managing message notifications in a computing environment includes a computer determining a user receives a notification of a first message received in a collaboration application on a computing device of the user, and determining a topic for the first message. The computer then determines whether the user suppresses the notification of the first message by determining whether a gesture received from the user corresponds to a gesture map stored for the collaboration application, and if so, the computer stores the topic for the first message associated with an indication the user suppressed the notification. The computer further determines a second message is received, determines a topic of the second message, and then determines whether the user previously suppressed the topic of the second message. If the user previously suppressed the topic of the second message, the computer suppresses a notification for the second message.

Abstract: A mechanism is provided in a data processing system comprising at least one processor and at least one memory, the at least one memory comprising instructions executed by the at least one processor to cause the at least one processor to implement an offensive action management system for acting on offensive messages in a communication platform. A message monitoring component of the offensive action management system monitors messages posted to the communication platform. Responsive to the message monitoring component detecting a flagged message posted by an offending user to a conversation, a review group selection component of the offensive action management system identifies a review group of users to determine a downstream action for the flagged message. A poll generation/analysis component of the offensive action management system presents a poll to the review group of users. The poll presents a set of downstream actions for the flagged message. The poll generation/analysis component determines a downstream action based on results of the poll. A downstream action component of the offensive action management system automatically performs the determined downstream action on the communication platform.

Abstract: Systems, methods and tools for performing a root cause analysis and improvements to the root cause detection by changing the way analysts and troubleshooters interact with the error reporting files to detect injection points that indicate the root cause of a system error. The systems, methods and tools record the observable behavior of users as the users review files to identify behavioral clues of the user to infer a level of interest in sections of the files being viewed. The systems identify correlations between user behavior and emotive expression to calculate a probability of event data being the root cause of an error. The systems may manually or automatically generate one or more tags in the reviewed file for each of the sections of the file that has a probability of being a root cause of a defect and the tags may vary as a function of the probability.
