Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to null data packet (NDP) feedback report. A device may cause to send an NDP feedback report frame to one or more station devices, wherein the NDP feedback report frame comprises one or more resource allocations. The device may identify an allocation response using a first allocation of the one or more resource allocations from a first station device. The device may determine to assign one or more timeslots as contention based resources based on the allocation response.

Abstract: Apparatus, computer readable media, and methods are disclosed for sending feedback in a high efficiency service field. An apparatus is disclosed comprising processing circuitry configured to: decode a trigger frame from a second wireless device, wherein the trigger frame indicates a resource allocation for an uplink (UL) multi-user (MU) transmission for the first wireless device. The processing circuitry may be further configured to: determine feedback for a second wireless device based on the resource allocation. The processing circuitry may be further configured to: encode a physical layer convergence protocol (PLCP) protocol data unit (PPDU) to include a high-efficiency (HE) service field comprising the feedback in a physical (PHY) portion of the PPDU. And, the processing circuitry may be further configured to: configure the first wireless device to transmit the PPDU in accordance with the resource allocation to the second wireless device.

The access point may cause to send the first trigger frame to the least one device The access point may identify a resource request frame including at least in part a resource request indication associated with the at least one of the one or more RBIDs. The access point may assign one of the one or more resource units based at least in part on the resource request indication.

Abstract: Embodiments of a station (STA), access point (AP) and method for rate adaption are generally described herein. The STA may receive a medium access control protocol data unit (MPDU) encoded in accordance with a first modulation and coding scheme (MCS). The STA may detect bit errors of the MPDU based on a comparison between the received MPDU and the decoded MPDU. The STA may determine an MCS reception margin parameter based at least partly on a comparison between a number of detected bit errors and a predetermined threshold of bit errors. The STA may transmit a block acknowledgement (BA) frame that includes the MCS reception margin parameter. The MCS reception margin parameter may enable a rate adaptation, from the first MCS to a second MCS for a subsequent MPDU for the STA.

Abstract: Apparatuses, computer readable media, and methods for scheduling trigger frames in a high-efficiency wireless (HEW) local-area network are disclosed. An apparatus of a HEW master station is disclosed. The HEW master station includes transceiver circuitry and processing circuitry configured to transmit a random access trigger frame (TF-R) to a plurality of HEW stations, and receive resource requests from one or more of the plurality of HEW stations in response to the TF-R. The transceiver circuitry and processing circuitry is further configured to transmit an indication when a trigger frame is to be transmitted. The trigger frame is to comprise resource allocations in response to the resource requests. An apparatus of a HEW station may enter a power save mode until a time when a trigger frame is scheduled that includes resource allocations in response to resource requests transmitted to a master station from the HEW station.
