    Abstract: Techniques discussed herein can facilitate RS (Reference Signal) sequence generation and mapping, and/or precoder assignment, for NR (New Radio). One example embodiment employable at a NR wireless communication device comprises processing circuitry configured to: generate one or more PN (Pseudo Noise) sequences based at least in part on an initial state of a PN generator; extract, for each PRB (Physical Resource Block) of one or more PRBs, an associated portion of an associated PN sequence of the one or more PN sequences, based at least in part on a reference subcarrier index, independent of a bandwidth part configuration and of a maximum supported number of PRBs; and generate, for each PRB of the one or more PRBs, an associated set of RS(s) for that PRB based at least in part on the extracted associated portion of the associated PN sequence for that PRB.

    Abstract: Provided herein are a method and an apparatus for interference measurement using a beam management reference signal (BM-RS). The disclosure provides an apparatus for a user equipment (UE), comprising circuitry configured to: decode one or more beam management reference signals broadcasted by a Transmission Reception Point (TRP) in a cell, wherein the one or more beam management reference signals are used by the TRP to perform beam management for respective one or more other UEs in the cell; and measure interference from the one or more other UEs in the cell based on the decoded one or more beam management reference signals. According to some embodiments, the overhead for the interference measurement can be reduced since it is not necessary to allocate a separate CSI-RS for the purpose of interference measurement.

The disclosure provides an apparatus for a user equipment (UE), comprising circuitry configured to: determine one or more numerologies defined for at least one of different codewords, different layers, and different links for a non-coherent joint transmission (NCJT) to the UE, the NCJT comprising a first transmission from a first access node and a second transmission from a second access node; and process the NCJT according to the determined one or more numerologies. Also provided is a configuration of one or more transmission schemes for at least one of different codewords, different layers, and different links for a NCJT to the UE. Some embodiments allow for uplink NCJT with one or more numerologies defined for at least one of different codewords, different layers, and different links.

    Abstract: Downlink control information techniques for wireless communications with shorter TTI (S-TTI) length are disclosed. An apparatus of a user equipment (UE) can include processing circuitry configured to decode signaling indicating a duration of a time window, the time window comprising a plurality of S-TTIs forming a single TTI. Absence of a discontinuous reception (DRX) indicator is detected within control information received within a first S-TTI of the plurality of S-TTIs. Upon detecting the absence of the DRX indicator within received control information, a S-PDCCH within each of the plurality of S-TTIs is monitored during the duration. Scheduling information received via the S-PDCCH within one of the plurality of S-TTIs is decoded, and data is encoded for transmission on a shared data channel based on the scheduling information.

    Abstract: In some embodiments, an apparatus of a Fifth Generation (5G) NodeB (gNB) comprises one or more baseband processors to encode one or more channel state information reference signals (CSI-RS) to be transmitted to a user equipment (UE). The one or more CSI-RS signals comprise a complex sequence mapped to a resource element (RE) such that all CSI-RS ports use an identical sequence for the one or more CSI-RS signals in a symbol. In other embodiments, the gNB comprises one or more baseband processors to encode a scrambling identity (ID) configuration for one or more demodulation reference signals (DMRS), wherein the scrambling ID configuration indicates one of two scrambling IDs to be signaled to a UE.
