Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for Reflective Quality of Service (RQoS) enhancements. Methods may include enhancements for both UE behavior and network function behavior. Network function behaviors may include enhancements to UPF behavior and SPF behavior. Abstract: A network device or component such as an access node (AN) can operate to provide a request to obtain a network slice of a network slice as a service (NSaaS) to provide a communication service on the network slice for an end-user device. In response to obtaining the network slice, a network slice customer (NSC) Service identity (ID) associated with the network slice can be determined and provided for a communication service for an application by the end-user device or user equipment (UE). The request can be processed at a network slice provider (NSP) component, in which the network slice can be assigned to the NSC in response to the request by the NSC. The NSP further provides a user equipment (UE) route selection policy (URSP) comprising a traffic descriptor that includes the NSC Service ID to the NSC.

Abstract: Apparatuses and computer-readable storage media for handling timers for mobile terminated circuit-switched fallback (MT CSFB) calls. An apparatus for a user equipment (UE) includes processing circuitry operably coupled to a data storage device. The data storage device is configured to store a value of an extended service request for mobile terminated services (EXT-MT) timer. The value of the EXT-MT timer is less than a value of a guard timer of a Visitor Location Register (VLR). The processing circuitry is configured to start the EXT-MT timer and generate an extended service request message to be transmitted to a Mobility Management Entity (MME) responsive to a paging for an MT CSFB call, and attempt to select a radio access technology of a different type of network if the EXT-MT timer expires before the UE successfully performs inter system change and a circuit switched fallback cancellation request was not received from a subscriber.

Abstract: Simultaneous control plane and user plane user data transfer, for CIoT devices, and switching between control plane and user plane data transfer, for the CIoT devices, may be performed for Control Plane CIoT EPS Optimization and user plane data transmission. In one implementation, a flag value is set within a Non-Access-Stratum (NAS) EPS Mobility Management (EMM) message to indicate to the network to establish a user plane connection (e.g., an S1-U bearer and data radio bearer (DRB)). The NAS message may be transmitted when the user device is in connected mode of operation.
