摘要: A self-steering bogie for an elongate road vehicle having at least a first axle assembly at the front end of the vehicle and at least one trailing axle assembly disposed on the vehicle behind said first axle assembly. The trailing axle assembly is a set of tandem axles with associated wheels disposed below a structural frame of the vehicle, the bogie comprising a rotatable sub-frame borne on the set of tandem axles which supports the vehicle by means of a load bearing turntable. A rotational restraint assembly is mounted on the turntable and which in part interconnects the sub-frame, the structural frame and an upper portion of the turntable, the rotational restraint assembly having a plurality of compression air springs. The elongate road vehicle could be a truck and semitrailer where the trailing axle assembly is on the semitrailer, or a vehicle such as a bus.

摘要: A vehicle identification system includes one or more displays associated with a vehicle, a transceiver, and a controller communicatively coupled to the transceiver. The one or more displays are located to be visible from an exterior of the vehicle. The controller is adapted to generate a first signal to be transmitted by the transceiver to a mobile communication device associated with a driver of the vehicle when it is determined that the vehicle is within a predetermined distance of a specific location. The mobile communication device associated with the driver is adapted to generate a second signal to be transmitted to the one or more displays. The second signal represents an indicator.

摘要: Until now, the laser beam light is the main feature to be provided by semiconductor laser diodes. The highly ordered direct current of charge carriers injected into the active region of these electronic components above the lasing threshold can be used in innovative ways. This attribute is associated with a new theoretical concept when all particles which are part of macroscopic objects are widely coupled to each other via quantum entanglements—it can generate a distance force induction and a self-induction of force. Considering this, a force can be inducted in the external objects—thrusting them—and a force can be inducted in the own semiconductor laser diode structure for its self propulsion.

摘要: A method is disclosed for assessing local microvasculature and local microcirculatory vasoreactivity of a patient or research subject by selective noninvasive and nondisturbing monitoring of local microvasculature and local microcirculatory vasoreactivity at an accessible site to noninvasive and nondisturbing trans-surface delivery of a study agent with a known microvascular effect in normal subjects. The method includes noninvasively delivering a vasoactive study agent to skin of the subject for trans-surface delivery to the microvasculature. The microvasculature consists of arteriolar-capillary-venule components of an arterial to venous network and the delivery is performed in a non-iontophoretic manner to exclusively affect local microvascular vasoreactivity without systemic effects or changes, wherein the step of delivering includes application of a micro-patch containing the study agent to the skin of the subject. The method also includes determining the subject's microvascular responsiveness by measuring changes in microvascular perfusion in the area of the skin of the subject beneath the micro-patch (including blood flow, blood volume, and/or transfer of blood and tissue components), ensuring that drug delivery does not induce alterations in measurements by delivery to remote sites or by systemic effects and assessing local microvasculature and local microcirculatory vasoreactivity based upon the steps of delivering, determining, and ensuring.

摘要: A tie bar tensioning system that allows a bending machine operator to removably couple an upper end of a bend die post of the bending machine to a base of the bending machine via a tie bar, and to lock the tie bar in a tensioned position. The tensioning system includes a stationary member and a rotatable member, each with aligned tie bar passages for receiving the one end of the tie bar. Both the stationary member and the rotatable member include respective engagement surfaces, with the rotatable member engagement surface being rotatable relative to the stationary member engagement surface between a released position and a tensioned position whereat the rotatable member is selectively lockable. The rotation of the rotatable member with the rotatable member engagement surface in engagement with the stationary engagement surface longitudinally displacing the rotatable member relative to the stationary member.
