    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE) are described. A first user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a set of UEs, an indication of a first semi-static traffic pattern between the first UE and a second UE. In some examples, the first semi-static traffic pattern may indicate a pattern for transmission or reception between the first UE and the second UE using a beam pair during a time period. The first UE may receive a response, from one or more UEs, indicating one or more semi-static traffic patterns for the time period. The first UE may then transmit, to a third UE of the one or more UEs, an indication of selection of a second semi-static traffic pattern for communication between the first UE and the third UE during the time period.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may manage a shape of a beam to selectively reduce interference at one or more wireless nodes. The base station may receive a capability message from a first wireless node indicating a capability of the first wireless node to support one or more beam tapering configurations. In some cases, the base station may receive an interference report from a second wireless node, indicating that the first wireless node caused interference at the second wireless node. The base station may transmit a beam tapering configuration of the one or more beam tapering configurations to the first wireless node, and the first wireless node may transmit a beamformed message to the base station according to the beam tapering configuration. In some cases, the beam tapering configuration may be associated with less interference when transmitting the beamformed message.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE) may transmit a request for a base station to establish a wireless communication link between the first UE and a second UE via an assisting device (AD) associated with an assisting node (AN). The first UE may receive first control signaling from the base station including an indication for the first UE to perform a directional learning procedure with the AN in response to the request, and may transmit an uplink message including an indication of a completion of the directional learning procedure. The first UE may receive second control signaling from the base station indicating a set of resources for performing a link configuration procedure between the first UE and the second UE, and may communicate with the second UE via the AD of the AN based on the second control signaling.

    Abstract: Aspects described herein relate to resource allocation in an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) system. A central unit (CU) transmits over a backhaul link a message to a distributed unit (DU) including a resource configuration for a DU cell and a child cell corresponding to a child node served by the DU cell. The DU determines that the message misidentifies the child cell using an ID of a different cell. In response to that determination, the DU communicates with the child node based on the resource configuration specific to the misidentified child cell. Using this coordinated technique enables the CU to provide the DU with a child-node specific resource configuration to enable the DU to use this configuration for communicating with the child node. This maximizes efficiency in multi-node communications between one or more child nodes and cells while adding minimal, if any, signaling overhead.
