Abstract: Techniques are described for wireless communication. A method for wireless communication may include identifying interference at a first node operating in a shared radio frequency spectrum band. The interference may be caused by a second node operating in the shared radio frequency spectrum band. The second node may operate asynchronously to the first node in the shared radio frequency spectrum band. The method may also include adaptively enabling, based at least in part on the identified interference, a synchronization of the first node with at least a third node in the shared radio frequency spectrum band.

Abstract: Techniques for wireless communications over a shared radio frequency spectrum band, may include techniques for transmitting uplink data transmissions using allocated uplink resources. Allocated uplink resources may include an uplink channel comprising a number of allocated interlaces of resource blocks (RBs) for use by a user equipment (UE). An incoming data stream may be processed and data separated into each of the allocated interlaces of RBs for the UE. Such separation may be through demultiplexing the data stream to obtain data for the allocated interlaces of RBs. The demultiplexed data may be mapped onto associated resource elements associated with the allocated interlaces of RBs, and transmitted. Different types of uplink channels, such as a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH), physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) and/or a physical random access channel (PRACH) may be allocated to interlaces of RBs in one or more subframes of a transmitted radio frame.

Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus transitions to a dormant state and transmits a very low duty cycle signal (LDCS) while in the dormant state. The apparatus may transmit an LDCS configuration to a second entity, the second entity being one of an LPN that is not in a dormant state and a macro cell. The apparatus may further monitor for a RACH messages at a predetermined RACH delay after transmitting the LDCS. The apparatus may transition to a DRX/DTX mode. The DRX/DTX mode may be matched to at least one connected UE.

Abstract: Contention-based uplink communications within a wireless communications system are provided in which a user equipment (UE) may transmit data to a base station autonomously, and thereby reduce delay with established procedures for allocating uplink resources to a UE. A base station may allocate contention-based uplink resources from a set of available uplink resources. A UE may determine that data is to be transmitted using contention-based uplink resources, identify available contention-based resources allocated by the base station, and may autonomously transmit the data using the allocated contention-based resources. The contention-based uplink resources may include a subset of available physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) resources. The contention-based PUSCH resources may include allocated bins, and a UE may select CB-PUSCH resources from one of the bins for transmission of the uplink data.

Abstract: A communication environment with carrier aggregation (CA) is disclosed in which a UE is configured for communication at a first time with a first network node via a primary component carrier (PCC) and a second network node via a secondary CC (SCC). At a second time, the UE is configured for communication with a third network node via the SCC at a second time. The UE maintains communication with the first network node via the PCC without triggering handover at the UE during the establishing communication with the third network node.

Abstract: Techniques are described for wireless communication. A first method may include performing a clear channel assessment (CCA) on an unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band; transmitting an indication of a time division duplexing (TDD) configuration over the unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band when the CCA is successful; and transmitting downlink data over the unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band in accordance with the TDD configuration when the CCA is successful. A second method may include performing a CCA on an unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band; dynamically determining, based at least in part on at least one grant to a user equipment (UE), and for a period following the CCA, a number of uplink subframes for communication over the unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band; and transmitting downlink data over the unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band in accordance with the timing of the number of uplink subframes when the CCA is successful.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods and apparatuses for multi-carrier transmissions over adjacent channels that reduce self-jamming due to asymmetric interference. In an aspect, a large bandwidth load-base equipment (LBE) carrier may be provided such that CCA is performed jointly over the entire bandwidth. In another aspect, additional CCA timeslots may be used to synchronize the two carriers. In a further aspect, an extended CCA may be performed on a primary unlicensed carrier while a simple CCA may be performed on a secondary unlicensed carrier. In yet another aspect, LBE may be deployed on some carriers while frame-base equipment (FBE) may be deployed on other carriers.
