    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may support cellular communications (e.g., Uu signaling) in a first frequency range and may support sidelink communications in a second, higher frequency range. To reduce the processing overhead and latency involved in sidelink discovery in the second frequency range, the UE may use Uu signaling in the first frequency range to assist with the sidelink discovery. For example, the UE may determine, based on a configuration, an uplink message supporting UE detection in the first frequency range to support sidelink discovery. The UE may monitor for the uplink message in the first frequency range and may detect a second UE based on the monitoring. The UEs may establish a sidelink connection for sidelink communications in the second frequency range based on the detection of the second UE in the first frequency range.

    Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for statistical delay reporting for adaptive configuration of delay budget are described. An apparatus is configured to measure delay statistics, at a UE, that correspond to a delay budget for traffic associated with LCHs. The apparatus is configured to transmit, to a network entity, a report associated with the traffic for the LCHs. The report including an indication of the delay statistics that correspond to the delay budget. Another apparatus is configured to receive, from a UE, a report associated with traffic that is associated with LCHs, the report including an indication of measurements associated with delay statistics, measured at the UE, that correspond to a delay budget for the traffic that is associated with the LCHs. The other apparatus is configured to transmit, for the UE, a delay budget configuration that adjusts a delay parameter at the UE for at least one of the LCHs.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for paging based on a paging early indication (PEI). Particular aspects provide for a method for wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE). The method generally includes determining a set of paging cycles for receiving paging information from a base station (BS), receiving a first paging early indicator (PEI) from the BS in a first paging cycle of the set of paging cycles, wherein the first PEI indicates whether the paging information will be transmitted to the UE in one or more second paging cycles of the set of paging cycles occurring after the first paging cycle, and receiving the paging information in the one or more second paging cycles based on the first PEI received in the first paging cycle.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may detect whether a data sample falls outside of a dataset used to train a machine learning model configured by a network device. For example, a base station may transmit control signaling to the UE to indicate an out-of-distribution (OOD) detection rule configuration that the UE uses to determine whether at least one data sample falls outside of the dataset. If the at least one data sample is determined to fall outside of the dataset using the OOD detection rule configuration, the UE may transmit an indication to the base station that indicates an OOD event has occurred for the at least one sample. Additionally, the base station may parameters for determining the OOD event, OOD detection patterns to indicate when to monitor for the OOD event, or a combination thereof.

    Abstract: A method of assessing a reported UE location includes: receiving, at a network entity, the reported UE location; obtaining, at the network entity, a first signal frequency difference indicating a first difference between a received frequency of a first signal received by the UE corresponding to a first transmit signal of a first transmit frequency transmitted from a first non-terrestrial-network node, and a received frequency of a second signal received by the UE corresponding to a second transmit signal of a second transmit frequency transmitted from a second non-terrestrial-network node that is separate from the first non-terrestrial-network node; and providing, by the network entity, a UE location assessment indication based on the first signal frequency difference and a second difference between an expected frequency of the first signal at the reported UE location and an expected frequency of the second signal at the reported UE location.
