    摘要: A switching device has a first contact side with a first nominal current contact piece and a first electric arc contact piece, and a second contact side with a second electric arc contact piece and a second nominal current contact piece. In order to generate a relative movement between the first and second contact sides, the first electric arc contact piece and the first nominal current contact piece as well as the second electric arc contact piece and the second nominal current contact piece are driven. For switching, the first contact piece is moved by a movement profile and the first nominal current contact piece is moved by a movement profile that differs from the movement profile of the first electric arc contact piece. A movement profile of the second electric arc contact piece and the second nominal current contact piece deviate from each other.

    摘要: An electric power switch suitable as a capacitor, line and load switch for transmission and distribution voltages includes an external actuator controlled by current transformers (CTs) mounted on live tanks comprising insulators forming dielectric containers that house the contactors of the switch. The CTs are located on the outside of the insulators in the regions of the insulators overlying the internal contactors between the upper and lower high voltage line taps. The actuator and controller may also be located outside the dielectric container, as desired. This configuration minimizes the size of the dielectric container and removes the severe size constraint inherent in design conventional “live tank” switch designs, while also avoiding the need for separate line-mounted CTs. This design also avoids the need for a separate grounded “dead tank” to house the CTs, which are more conveniently located in the outside of the insulators.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a vacuum switch assembly for interrupting and isolating fault current. The vacuum switch assembly includes first and second dc lines that, in use, are electrically connected to the dc output terminals of a primary dc power source and a dc network. Each dc line includes at least one vacuum switch having contacts that are opened and closed under the control of a vacuum switch controller. A passive dc power supply unit is electrically connected to the first and second dc lines and includes a secondary dc power source that provides a substantially ripple-free sensing voltage. The vacuum switch controller is adapted to open the vacuum switch contacts when a fault condition (e.g. a fault current or other fault) or an operator request has been identified and when the current flowing between the vacuum switch contacts is below a chopping current associated with the vacuum switches.
