摘要: A wearable device with a display screen has both an image presentation area and a camera portion. The wearable device includes a camera module configured to capture images through the camera portion and a camera frame that is molded onto the display screen, creating a pocket in which the camera module is securely held. This camera frame is made of a material that not only keeps the camera module in place but also forms an environmental seal, effectively protecting the space between the camera module and the display screen.

摘要: Data manipulation using remote augmented sensing with an integrated barometer is disclosed. Wireless connectivity is provided between a processor and a wireless transceiver. The wireless transceiver is embedded in an oral sensing interface. The oral sensing interface detects tongue gestures. A tongue position sensor (TPS) is coupled to the wireless transceiver. The tongue position sensor is attached to the interface. A barometric sensor is coupled to the wireless transceiver. The barometric sensor detects air pressure within an oral cavity containing the interface. The barometric sensor input air pressure is supplied by a barometric sensor diaphragm integrated with the TPS. Data manipulation is enabled in the processor, based on the wireless connectivity, barometric sensor, and TPS. Other sensors are coupled, including an inertial measurement unit, an ambient condition sensor, a microphone, and a sound generating device. The barometric sensor diaphragm is encapsulated with the tongue position sensor.

摘要: Systems and methods are described in which a “one-of-N” selection may be produced based on one or more associations made by a human between a selected object from a group of “N” objects, and visual or acoustic cues produced by a handheld device. Objects may be comprised of real or virtual (i.e., displayed) objects in the environment of the handheld device user. Visual and/or acoustic cues may be generated by the handheld device under the control of the device user. Upon determining a perceived association between a cue and a selected object, the user may indicate a selection using one or more handheld device sensing elements such as a pushbutton, touch sensor, or inertial force measurement. Systems and methods may provide simple and intuitive methods to produce selected actions on the handheld device or on a connected device.

摘要: A method is performed at an electronic device with a controller and a display. The method includes identifying, within a first memory, a first object that satisfies a locked criterion. For example, the first object corresponds to a head-locked object or a body-locked object. The first object is associated with a first plurality of pixel values. The method includes blitting, via the controller, the first plurality of pixel values from the first memory to a second memory. The method includes displaying, on the display, the first object by obtaining the first plurality of pixel values from the second memory. In some implementations, the method includes rendering, via a graphics processing unit (GPU), a second object that does not satisfy the locked criterion, such as a world-locked object. As compared with GPU rendering, blitting is less computationally expensive.

摘要: Methods and systems for spectating a live video game are presented. In one method embodiment, an operation includes providing an interface for presenting an overhead view of an interactive environment of a video game on a head mounted display (HMD). The method also provides an operation for providing a magnifying window for displaying a magnified view of the interactive environment, where the magnified view is associated with a second vantage point that is closer to the interactive environment than is a first vantage point of the overhead view. The method further provides an operation for tracking a real-world position of a controller of the spectator and moving the location of the magnifying window to correspond to the real-world position of the controller.

摘要: A method of customizing contextual controls of a remote-control unit (RCU) having a plurality of user interface elements is disclosed. A processor within the RCU receives context information from an integrated output device that includes an output mechanism, the context information being related to an active application being run on the integrated output device and an active object being presented by the active application. The processor determines a set of actions that can be performed on the active object within the active application. The processor dynamically maps actions to user interface elements of the RCU based on the context information. The processor receives a selection of a user interface element and sends a request from the RCU to the integrated output device specifying an action mapped to the user interface element to be performed on the active object and the active application.

摘要: A position detection device includes a communication circuit which, in operation, receives, from a stylus including a built-in acceleration sensor, acceleration information detected by the acceleration sensor, and a controller which, in operation, detects a first position indicating a position of the stylus on a touch surface and a second position indicating a position of a finger on the touch surface, and outputs the first position and the second position that have been detected. The controller controls the output of the second position based on the acceleration information received by the communication circuit.
