Abstract: Systems and methods for a passive wireless multi-factor authentication approach are provided. According to one embodiment, a user authentication request is received by a first computing device connected to a private network. The user authentication request is sent by an endpoint protection suite running on the first computing device to an authentication device associated with the private network. A proximity of a second computing device, which was previously registered with the authentication device to be used as a factor of a multi-factor authentication process involving the first computing device, is determined by the authentication device in relation to one or more wireless access points of a wireless network of the private network. The user authentication request is then processed by the authentication device based on the proximity.

The authentication approach includes receiving one or more interactions with the virtual authentication lock. The authentication approach includes determining whether the one or more interactions correspond to one or more authentication interactions related to the virtual authentication lock and granting, in response to the one or more interactions corresponding to the one or more authentication interactions, access to the secure service.

Abstract: A checksum generator of a data matrix is provided that comprises counting at least one of:
the numerals “0” and “1” in at least one row of the data matrix so that the number of appearances of each numeral is sequentially placed,
the numerals “0” and “1” in at least one column of the data matrix so that the number of appearances of each numeral is sequentially placed,
the numerals “0” and “1” in at least one left diagonal of the data matrix so that the number of appearances of each numeral is sequentially placed, and
the numerals “0” and “1” in at least one right diagonal of the data matrix so that the number of appearances of each numeral is sequentially placed.
The method further comprises ordering the number of appearances of each numeral to form a key and sequentially positioning the key to assemble the checksum. In addition, counting the numerals “0” and “1” is performed in a predetermined order. Further provided are methods of implementing the checksum generated according to the counting method.-

Disclosed embodiments may include reading, using the physical credential reader, a user identifier from the physical credential device. Disclosed embodiments may also include transmitting the public terminal identifier and the user identifier to a secure server. Further, disclosed embodiments may include receiving, after completing the transmission, a unique code from the secure server. Disclose embodiments may additionally include displaying the unique code on the display device. Disclosed embodiments may include receiving, after displaying the unique code, an authentication message from the secure server. Disclosed embodiments may further include, responsive to receiving the authentication message, authorizing the user to use a terminal command at the public terminal.

The biometric input pixel elements being at least one of light detecting and piezoelectric-in pixel elements. The processor is connected to the biometric input pixel elements to process the reflected biometric input.
