When a situation is encountered (e.g. a shooter, a person with a knife, a fire), the computer communicates with the user devices local to the situation to place them in a secure mode, dimming their displays, quieting the user devices, providing efficient communication tools, and presenting update information regarding the situation such as location of an invader or fire, escape routes. Further, after entering secure mode, audio is captured from the device and used by the computer to determine a location of a gunshot.

    摘要: Examples are directed towards providing a set of hub devices for providing per-room monitoring of an area associated with a structure. A set of hub devices monitors movements of a user through the monitored area to generate user traffic data. A dynamic map of the monitored area is generated based on the user traffic data. The set of hub devices detects sounds occurring within the monitored area. The detected sounds are identified. Some of the detected sounds are amplified and replayed on speaker(s) within the monitored area. Notifications of some detected sounds are provided to user device(s) to notify at least one user of the occurrence of the detected sounds. If a detected sound indicates a safety issue, a safe route leading from a current location of the user to a different potentially safer location is generated and provided to the user to facilitate an evacuation.

Further, data related to the non-alarm event that occurred at the premise may be compared to data related to non-alarm events that occurred at other premises and, based on the comparison, one or more authorities may be alerted to the non-alarm event.

The storage compartment is associated with a camera that can record video and audio of occurrences or happenings in the room. The storage compartment is configured to communicate with a mobile device via a communications protocol and is electronically associated with at least two activation mechanisms: one that is activated for non-emergency situations, and another that is active for emergency situations. In both cases, the camera is direct to record video and audio of the situation, but in the emergency situation, the camera transmits the video and audio to other parts of the building to provide individuals located therein with real time information regarding the emergency situation. The second activation mechanism further provides access to a defensive instrument that is located in the storage compartment.

    摘要: A method includes receiving, by a first wireless device, first data indicative of channel properties of a first communication link between the first wireless device and a second wireless device, the first wireless device and the second wireless device being located in a same vicinity. The method further includes detecting, using a supervised machine learning (ML) model applied to the first data, human movement and presence of stationary objects within the same vicinity and activating, by the first wireless device in response to detection of the human movement, an ultrasonic signal. The method further includes receiving, by the first wireless device, a reflected component of the ultrasonic signal and confirming, by the first wireless device using the reflected component, presence of a human in the same vicinity.
