Abstract: A lighting device includes a light source, a reflector having an ellipsoidal reflection surface, an aspherical lens, and an exit pupil. The source is arranged at a first focal point of the reflection surface and a part of the emitted light is reflected from the reflection surface in the direction of a second focal point. The pupil is arranged offset with respect to the second focal point. The lens is arranged between the reflection surface and the pupil in a beam path with the reflected light and is shaped such that a first part of the reflected light passes through the lens with an aperture angle altered by not more than 5° in a central region and passes through the pupil and a second part of the reflected light penetrates through the lens in an outer region and is deflected by the lens and is consequently guided through the pupil.

Abstract: A portable LED light has a series of different LED heads, with different light characteristics, for connection to a lighting device body that includes a battery and LED driver electronics. Each of the different light heads can have specific light color temperatures, maximum intensities and other features. A heat sink with cooling fins dissipates heat from the LEDs, and a fan can be included, either on the housing or on a light head. An alternative light head can be for underwater use, with the internal LEDs and electronics of the light head, as well as the body, being water sealed. Cooling of the underwater form of light is by direct contact of a heat sink with surrounding water.

Abstract: Various embodiments relate to a cooling module for cooling a plurality of LEDs that includes a heat sink having a LED side sand a cooling side arranged at opposite sides of the heat sink. The LEDs arranged on the LED side and a first flow channel and second cooling channel are arranged adjacent to each other at the cooling side. The cooling module comprises a first blower and a second blower respectively configured to blow cooling air in a first flow direction through the first flow channel in a second flow direction through the second flow channel, where the first flow direction and the second flow direction being opposite each other. Certain embodiments also related to the light fixture comprising such cooling module and approaches for cooling a plurality of LEDs.

Abstract: An illumination device with a number of light sources arranged in at least two groups of light sources that are individually controllable. The first group of light sources (203) have light collectors (209) such as internal reflection (TIR) lenses, mixers or other lenses placed over them to collect and convert light of the light sources into a number of light source beams. The second group of light sources (205) pass light through diffusing areas (215) of a diffuser (213) in the form of a diffusion cover included in the lamp housing to diffuse the light and create a background light for the first group of light sources. The light from the first group of light sources pass through non diffusing regions (211) of the diffuser cover without the light being diffused. The second group of light sources are interleaved with the first group by the diffuser having one or several diffusion areas between non diffusion areas. By controlling both groups of light sources based on the same target color the dotted look of led light sources can be removed or by controlling the two groups of light sources based on two different colors light effects can be obtained. The illumination device can be included in a moving head light source with a base, a yoke connected rotatably to the base and the head connected rotatably to the head.

Abstract: An illuminating device may include a light source, an optical unit configured to adjust direction of light from the light source, a reflector, a light pipe, and an exciter. The light pipe may receive light having a first wavelength from the optical unit and direct the light having the first wavelength onto the exciter. The exciter may convert the light having the first wavelength into light having the second wavelength and reflects the light having the second wavelength to the reflector. A circumferential wall of the light pipe is configured to reflect the light having the first wavelength and to transmit the light having the second wavelength.
