摘要： A woven slide fastener stringer comprises a binding thread system extending along a row of continuous coupling elements and fixing the latter to a longitudinal tape edge portion of a woven stringer tape. The binding thread system includes a warp thread extending through a space defined in the coupling element row and underlying the upper legs adjacent to the coupling heads of the coupling elements, and a weft thread having first loops interlaced with the longitudinal tape edge portion and second loops each overlying the upper leg of one of the coupling elements in transverse relation adjacent to the coupling head and underlying the warp thread at positions one on each side of the upper leg, whereby the upper legs are sandwiched between the warp and weft threads.

摘要： A slide-fastener stringer has a tape formed from a ground weave with double wefts interwoven with a warp and a coupling element disposed along the edge of the tape and held thereto by binding warps. The coupling element is of the type in which a synthetic resin monofilament is coiled to form coupling heads whose shanks are disposed one above the other so that they have a common projection in the slide fastener plane. The shanks are connected to those of successive heads by bights. The coupling warp comprises a plurality of warp yarns whose patterns are offset by two picks and which each pass over two coupling elements, under a double weft between coupling elements, over another coupling element and then under the next coupling element in a repeating pattern.

摘要： An apparatus for manufacturing a slide fastener stringer having a woven stringer tape and a coiled coupling element woven therein, includes a needle loom for weaving the stringer tape of warp and weft threads, a mandrel for extending at an angle to the warp threads, and a coiling rotor assembly to be located alongside of the warp threads for winding a monofilament around the mandrel in a circular path to form the coiled coupling element, which is then woven into the stringer tape by the weft thread. A monofilament guide means is fixed with respect to the coiling rotor assembly and is located in substantially, three-dimensional point-symmetry relation to a distal end portion of the mandrel with respect to the center of the circular path, so that the monofilament is kept under substantially uniform tension while being rotated by the coiling rotor assembly.

摘要： A woven fastener stringer has a row of successively interconnected coupling loops having a head, an upper leg, a lower leg and a heel. The row of loops is secured to a longitudinal edge of a woven stringer tape by a plurality of binding warp threads which are interwoven with a continuation of a foundation weft thread. The binding warp threads are pulled down when interwoven with the foundation weft thread in the spaces between each adjacent pair of loops and held in intimate contact with the upper legs so as to prevent the theads from slipping along the loops.

摘要： An apparatus for manufacturing a slide fastener stringer having a woven coiled fastener element includes a coiling rotor assembly for winding a monofilament orbitally around a mandrel extending substantially warpwise so as to shape the monofilament into a helical coil which, as the fastener element, is interlaced with weft threads as they are woven with warp threads to produce the slide fastener stringer. The rotor assembly comprises a first and a second wheel rotatable respectively on a first and a second floating shaft interconnected by a connecting rod out of coaxial alignment with each other, the first shaft being located adjacent to the warp threads and supporting the mandrel. The wheels have means for guiding the monofilament to turn in an orbital motion during revolution of the wheels. The second shaft supports a core thread bobbin from which a core thread is drawn off through the second shaft, the connecting rod, and the first shaft for extending along the mandrel so as to be inserted through the coiled fastener element.

摘要： A slide-fastener stringer is formed by weaving a weft in a warp and simultaneously forming a continuous coupling element along each of the confronting edges of a pair of tapes simultaneously produced by the weaving operation. The synthetic-resin monofilament forming the coupling element is passed around a mandrel between the warp stretches so that the heads of the two coupling elements are produced in interdigitated form. The ground weft yarn is carried from the coupling element side of each set of warps through the shed to the opposite edge of the tape where it is locked into other loops of previous passes of weft by knitting.

摘要： A slide fastener comprises two continuous plastic filaments (synthetic-resin monofilament), each with a multiplicity of generally helicoidal coupling elements for interlocking with the coupling elements of the opposite filament, each filament being woven integral with the threads of its respective support tape to form a tape-like unit. Each coupling element has a coupling head on a loop end and a pair of shanks terminating in bight portions which connect elements of the same tape-like unit. The shanks of each coupling element, which separate the bights from the loops, are held in close abutment by warp threads, with or without weft threads which pass over and under the successive paired abutting shanks of adjacent elements. Even stronger bracing can be obtained with bulbous projections on the shanks and bights, and by extending the coupling elements the entire width of the tape-like unit, replacing all or part of the weft threads. Thus the shanks can extend transversely to the warp over a substantial part or all of the tape-like unit to form the exclusive weft over this part or the entire width of the tape.
