    摘要: A ground contact and a method for conducting electric currents from a rotor part of a machine to a stationary stator part of the machine, the rotor part having an axis or shaft, the ground contact comprising a holder device connected to the stationary stator part of the machine in an electrically conductive manner and a contact realized as a flexible conductor having a free end disposed on a circumference of the rotor part and an end fastened on the holder device, the conductor being inherently stable such that a contact force can be applied to a contact surface for establishing an electrically conductive sliding contact between a sliding contact surface of the conductor and the circumference of the rotor part. The conductor is bendable such that the free end extends in the direction of a rotational axis of the rotor part when disposing the ground contact on the rotor part.

    摘要: There is provided a contact type power feeding apparatus in which, even if a brush Br disposed in a space between the axis body and the cylinder body that are disposed concentric with each other wears out as a result of sliding, contact can be surely secured between the brush and the axis body as well as the cylinder body, thereby efficiently causing electric current to flow between the two. A brush Br has first brush pieces each having an inner wall surface to make surface-contact with an outer peripheral surface of the axis body; and second brush pieces each having an outer wall surface to make a surface-contact with an inner peripheral surface of the cylinder body. The brush is constituted by alternately arranging, in the circumferential direction, the first brush pieces and the second brush pieces in a state of keeping them in surface-contact with each other. The side wall surfaces of the first brush pieces and the second brush pieces are respectively formed into a tapered shape which is inclined relative to the radial direction. Coil springs are disposed between the second brush pieces that are adjacent to each other, in order to give a biasing force in a direction to move the second brush pieces away from each other.

    摘要: A brush for an electric motor has a brush body having a front end surface configured to make sliding electrical contact with a commutator of the motor. First and second side surfaces are connected to the front end surface. The first side surface and the second side surface are positioned on opposite sides of the brush body in a rotational direction of the commutator. The front end surface has a first contact surface and a second contact surface that contact the commutator earlier than other regions of the front end surface, and are respectively positioned on diametrically opposed corners of the front end surface. In an initial state, the width of the contact area between the brush and the commutator is increased to extend the commutation time.

    摘要: A slipring brush comprises a brush body of electrically conductive material, a contact wire for contacting the brush body and a spring for applying mechanical force to the brush body. The brush body has a contact surface for sliding on a slipring track. Furthermore, at least one blind hole is provided in the brush body beginning from the contact surface, to reduce the cross section of the brush body, increasing the current density. Due to the increased current density, wear is reduced and lifetime increased. The outer interface of the brush body remains unchanged.

    摘要: An electric rotary machine which may be employed as a dc motor in an automotive engine starter. The motor includes an armature equipped with an armature shaft, a commutator, brushes, and a bearing retaining an end of the armature shaft. The surface of the commutator has a plurality of protrusions extending in parallel to each other in a direction of rotation of the commutator. Each of the brushes has formed in the bottom thereof grooves in which the protrusions of the commutator are fit. The brushes are urged into constant engagement of the grooves with the protrusions on the commutator to establish electrical contacts between the brushes and the commutator and minimize movement of the armature shaft relative to the bearing.
