Abstract:
Provided is an anode panel of a field emission type backlight unit. The anode panel includes a substrate, an anode formed on a lower surface of the substrate, a phosphor layer coated on a lower surface of the anode and a liquid pack disposed on an upper surface of the substrate, said liquid pack having a transparent cover having cylindrical lens type curved portions and transparent liquid filling in the curved portions.
Abstract:
In an image display device which comprises a front plate having phosphor layers, resistance layers formed between the phosphor layers, a matal back layer which is formed on the phosphor layers and the resistance layers and segmented into regions by gaps in a first direction X perpendicular to the scanning direction for image display and by gaps on the resistance layers in a second direction Y which coincides with the scanning direction for image display, and high-voltage supplier which applies a high voltage to the matal back layer, and a back plate which is set opposite to the front plate and has a number of electron emitting elements arranged on it, characterized in that the resistance layer present between each region segmented by the gaps is discretely formed in its portions with low-resistance regions which are relatively lower in resistance than the other portions.
Abstract:
An electron emission display includes first and second substrates facing each other. First electrodes are arranged on the first substrate along a first direction. Second electrodes are arranged along a second direction such that the second electrodes cross the first electrodes. Sub-pixels are formed at crossed regions of the first and second electrodes, and electron emission regions are provided on the first electrodes within the sub-pixels. Phosphor layers are formed on a surface of the second substrate such that the phosphor layers are spaced apart from each other with a distance therebetween. A metallic reflection layer is formed on the second substrate to cover the phosphor layers. The metallic reflection layer has spaced portions covering at least two of the phosphor layers and spaced away from the phosphor layers with an open gap therebetween, and contact portions not spaced away from the second substrate with an open gap therebetween.
Abstract:
A monochrome cathode ray tube, and method of manufacture, including a face panel having a screen portion on which a single color phosphor screen is formed, and the phosphor screen being formed corresponding to an effective viewing area of an outer surface of the face panel. The cathode ray tube may further include a funnel including a neck and connected to the face panel, an electron gun mounted within the neck and emitting an electron beam, and a deflection yoke mounted on the funnel.
Abstract:
An image pickup tube comprising a target composed of a light-transmissible plate, a transparent electrode provided on said light-transmissible plate and a photoconductor made of hydrogen-containing amorphous silicon provided on said transparent electrode; an electron beam generator; and a mesh electrode near the aforesaid target, at least the surface of said mesh electrode being made of at least one member selected from the group consisting of Be, B, C, Mg, Al and Si, has high resolution with greatly improved life characteristics.
Abstract:
A fluorescent display has phosphor coated electrodes selectably electronically excited into an illuminated condition. A foraminous screen controls illumination of the electrodes. An embodiment of the invention with a linear array of anodes and an analog-to-digital power supply forms a linear scale indicator. A method of assembly is also disclosed.
Abstract:
A vacuum fluorescent display has a filament heated below incandescence and phosphor coated anodes. A foraminous charge-control electrostatic lens between the filament and the viewer both controls uniform illumination of the anodes and also comprises part of a contrast-enhancement element. An embodiment of the invention with a linear array of anodes and an analog-to-digital power supply forms a linear scale indicator.

Abstract:
An electronic image device in which an electron beam is generated within an envelope and caused to scan a target in a predetermined linear manner, and in which a mesh electrode is positioned between said electron gun and the target or between a photocathode and the target to cause a linear charge pattern. The mesh electrode is comprised of a first set of parallel equally spaced wires positioned at a positive angle of 50* to 70* to the linear scan of the beam and a second set of parallel equally spaced wires positioned at a positive angle of 110* to 130* to the linear scan.
