摘要: Alpha rhythm brain waves are related to mental and physical relaxation and healing. Based on the studies of bionics, this invention relates to inducing oscillatory alpha rhythm to the human body, and relates to the means of the alpha rhythm machine applied to human body. Research of the alpha rhythm of human brain wave patterns and EEG has indicated special recorded data of alpha rhythm brain waveform which is the bearing of the proper biological information of relaxing and healing. The apparatus was developed and built to construct and release the simulated human brain alpha rhythm signals which are at the frequencies ranging 8 Hz-14 Hz and at the amplitudes altered in high or low. Both the frequencies and the amplitudes are changing at a non-stationary random order in the duration of the event, respectively. The electrical signals are transformed via a transducer, into three forms of energy, 1, alpha rhythm electromagnetic energy and alpha rhythm interfering static magnetic energy; 2, alpha rhythm sub-audio acoustic oscillatory energy; and 3, alpha rhythm mechanical vibrational energy. The combining energies from the apparatus can benefit the whole human body or only the area affected by illness, for example, treating men's prostate problems or treating sleep disorders.

摘要: A disposable apparatus promotes patient relaxation, reduces patient stress, and/or expedites patient recovery, in a health care facility or home-based convalescent environment. The apparatus includes a disposable, substantially glare-free visual display device with one or more open, natural, serene and, preferably, savanna-like landscape pictures. Such pictures, including large size high resolution photo-realistic images, are displayed by means of a substantially glare-free display device, such as a flexible panel of disposable fabric material positioned near a hospital bed or a like item of furniture, in close proximity to the patient so as to give the patient the perception of being in a natural and biophilic setting.

摘要: A virtual reality system provides effective exposure treatment for psychiatric patients suffering from a particular anxiety disorder. The system is characterized by a video screen disposed in front of the patient to display an image of a specific graphical environment that is intended to trigger anxiety within the patient as a result of the particular patient phobia. A headset is worn by the patient, and has sensors disposed to detect movement and positioning of the patient's head. A computer program controls the operation of the system, and is designed to control the display of the graphical environment on the video screen, monitor the headset sensors and determine the position of the patient's head, and controllably manipulate the graphical environment displayed on the video screen to reflect the movement and position of the patient's head. In a preferred embodiment, a sensor is provided to automatically detect a level of patient anxiety, and the computer program is designed to monitor this sensor and controllably manipulate the graphical environment displayed on the video screen in response thereto. In other embodiments, sound and tactile feedback are provided to further enhance the graphic emulation.

摘要: A trophotropic response system which aids a user in achieving a relaxation response. In one embodiment the system includes a control unit and an audio-visual unit. The control unit includes a processor and associated hardware and software to control the audio-visual unit. The audio-visual unit includes a light producing unit having a pair of earphones coupled thereto. The light producing unit includes a plurality of light sources which direct light toward a diffuser screen disposed between the eyes of a user and the light sources. This arrangement permits the user to see light from the light sources diffused over a large visual angle. The light sources produce light and the earphones produce sound in response to audio and light control signals provided by the processor of the control unit. The signal characteristics of the light and sound control signals may be varied within predefined limits to aid the user in performing a relaxation exercise.
