A method for a Mobility Management Entity (MME) to control a connection of a User Equipment (UE) in a mobile communication system is provided. The method includes a first standby method including an MME in a wireless communication system that includes predicting an overload durating time when an overload duration time that is predicted, transmitting to an enhanced Node B (eNodeB) information on the reconnection method of the UE that is decided, wherein the plurality of reconnection methods represent methods for the UE attempting reconnection with the MME after a second standby time that is longer than the first standby time, and an MME reselection method for the UE attempting the reconnection with an MME which is different from the MME.

The present invention relates to an efficient method and apparatus for remotely providing/downloading a profile for use in a communication service in a communication system, and the method for downloading the profile in the communication system, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: transmitting, to a first server, first information for processing a request for downloading a profile; receiving, from the first server, address information of a second server processing the request for downloading the profile on the basis of the first information; transmitting, to the second server, second information for calling a function, of an application, related to the downloading of the profile; receiving, from the second server, the profile-related information as a response of the second information for calling the function; and connecting to a third server providing the profile on the basis of the profile-related information, and downloading the profile.

The present disclosure relates to a communication technique for combining a 5G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate than a 4G system with an IoT technology, and a system therefor. The present disclosure can be applied to 5G communication and IoT related technology-based intelligent services (for example, smart homes, smart buildings, smart cities, smart cars or connected cars, health care, digital education, retail business, security and safety related services, etc.). The present invention performs cross-certification of a universal integrated circuit card (UICC) with a subscription manager data preparation+ (SM-DP+) system in a wireless communication system, and receives a profile from the SM-DP+ system according to the cross-certification result, wherein the profile comprises one of a profile encrypted on the basis of a key set established according to the cross-certification result, and a profile transmitted through a session established according to the cross-certification result.

The present invention is a method for transmitting a data packet by a user terminal in a mobile communication system. The method enters a power saving mode for transmitting the data packet only if a channel state satisfies a transmission threshold value, compares the index indicating the channel state and the transmission threshold value upon occurrence of a data packet to be transmitted, starts transmission of the data packet if the index indicating the channel state is greater than the transmission threshold value, and proceeds with the transmission of the data packet until the time set by the timer that starts at the same time as the transmission of the data packet expires.

The embodiments disclosed in the present specification relate to a method and an apparatus for providing proximity-based information. An electronic apparatus for providing proximity-based information according to various embodiments of the present invention comprises: a communication interface; a memory; and a processor electrically connected to the communication interface and the memory, wherein the processor may be set to obtain first context information from one or more programs running on the electronic apparatus, identify first location information corresponding to the first context information, transmit, to a server, first data including at least one of the first context information and the first location information, through the communication interface, receive, from the server, first event information on a point of interest corresponding to the transmitted first data, and store, in the memory, the received first event information on the point of interest. Provided is a method for transmitting traffic control information by an Evolved Node B (ENB) in a wireless communication system. The method includes transmitting congestion state information a traffic control node. The congestion state information is used to control traffic for a User Equipment (UE) that is accessing the ENB. And, the congestion state information includes information about a congestion state of the ENB, and is included in a packet header transmitted from the UE.

The method includes receiving, by a MCPTT server, a first request message to establish a call between a first MCPTT client and the one or more second MCPTT client from a signaling plane entity. The first request message includes an application plane identity of the one or more second MCPTT client. Further, the method includes translating, at the MCPTT server, the application plane identity of the one or more second MCPTT client to a signaling plane identity of the one or more second MCPTT client. Furthermore, the method includes sending, by the MCPTT server, the one or more second request message including the signaling plane identity of the one or more second MCPTT client to the second MCPTT client for establishing the call via the signaling plane entity.
