Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment may receive a resource allocation indicating a set of transmission tones comprising a set of data tones and a set of peak reduction tones (PRTs), wherein the resource allocation indicates locations for the set of data tones and locations for the set of PRTs within a particular bandwidth, wherein the locations for the set of PRTs are arranged relative to the locations for the set of data tones according to a PRT sequence, and wherein the PRT sequence comprises a plurality of contiguous PRTs arranged relative to a plurality of contiguous data tones or a pseudo-random pattern generated using a pseudo-random number generator; and transmit a data transmission using a waveform based at least in part on the resource allocation. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for interference measurement and reporting by a UE. The interference measurement can be self-initiated by the UE or based on a request received from a BS. To measure the interference, the UE transmits a first signal in UL resources to a first BS concurrently with receiving a second signal in DL resources from one of the first BS or a second BS. The received second signal includes interference associated with the transmitted first signal. Based on the received second signal, the UE determines a level of the interference that is associated with the transmitted first signal. Information associated with the level of the interference is then transmitted to the first BS, such as an indication of a guard band that is to be incorporated between the UL resources and the DL resources.

FLEXIBLE TIME DIVISION DUPLEXING (TDD) SUBFRAME STRUCTURE WITH LATENCY REDUCTION

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A wireless device may identify an uplink/downlink (UL/DL) configuration that defines subframe configuration options for each subframe of a frame. For example, the UL/DL configuration may establish parameters for time division duplexing (TDD) operation between a base station and a user equipment (UE). The wireless device (e.g., the UE or base station) may determine a constraint for a subframe of the frame based on the UL/DL configuration and then determine an adaptive subframe configuration based on the constraint. The adaptive subframe configuration may include one or several downlink symbol periods and one or several uplink symbol periods. The wireless device may then communicate during the subframe according to the adaptive subframe configuration rather than the original UL/DL configuration; and, because the adaptive subframe may be constrained by the identified UL/DL configuration, the communication during the subframe may avoid disruption to UEs.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to techniques for selecting a base graph to be used for wireless communications. Selection can be based on a variety of factors. A base graph can be used to derive a low-density parity-check (LDPC) code used for encoding a retransmission of an original transmission. An exemplary method generally includes selecting, based on a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) and a resource allocation (RA) for transmitting a codeword, a base graph (BG), from which to derive a low density parity check (LDPC) code for use in encoding data bits in the codeword (e.g., encoding data bits of a bitstream such that some redundant bits are included in the codeword), encoding the data bits to generate the codeword using the LDPC code derived from the selected BG, and transmitting the codeword using the MCS via resources of the RA.
