    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A transmitter may generate a first segmentation based on a first subset of control information and a second segmentation based on jointly encoding the first subset and a second subset of the control information. The transmitter may polar encode the first segmentation to generate a first codeword and the second segmentation to generate a second codeword, and transmit the first and second codewords. A receiver may determine a first bit sequence corresponding to the first subset based on decoding a first codeword and determine an error detection code (EDC) and a second bit sequence corresponding to the second subset based on decoding a second codeword. The receiver may perform error detection on the first and second bit sequences based on the determined EDC, and output the first bit sequence and the second bit sequence or a decoding error.

    Abstract: Techniques and apparatus for differential channel state information (CSI) reporting for high resolution CSI are provided. One technique includes receiving a CSI reference signal (CSI-RS). First feedback components associated with first CSI feedback for a first CSI feedback stage are determined based on the CSI-RS, and the first feedback components are reported to a base station. Second feedback components associated with at least one second CSI feedback for at least one second CSI feedback stage are determined based in part on the first feedback components, and the second feedback components are reported to the base station. A precoding for multiple input multiple output (MIMO) communications is determined based on the first feedback components and the second feedback components.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described for channel estimation in wireless communications. The method, systems, and apparatuses operate in a time-division duplex (TDD) scheme. A first transmission may be received in a first sub-frame of a channel according to the TDD scheme. A time auto-correlation function may be applied to the first transmission to obtain a first auto-correlation sample. At least one characteristic of the channel may be estimated based at least in part on the first auto-correlation sample.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for scheduling hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback and controlling the transmit power of the HARQ feedback. An example method generally includes generating a configuration for physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resource sets assigned to at least one user equipment (UE), wherein each of the PUCCH resources sets comprises PUCCH resources, transmitting the configuration for the PUCCH resource sets to the at least one UE, generating an uplink control reporting indication indicating the PUCCH resources associated with downlink demodulation reference signal (DMRS) port groups, transmitting the uplink control reporting indication, to the at least one UE, for use in reporting uplink control information (UCI), and receiving at least a part of the UCI associated with at least one of the downlink DMRS port groups from the at least one UE via the PUCCH resources indicated in the uplink control reporting indication.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may perform channel state information measurements on reference signal transmissions from a base station. The UE may identify a set of cross layer coefficients associated with a set of spatial layers based on the channel state information measurements. The UE may additionally identify a set of precoding coefficients associated with a spatial layer from the set of spatial layers. In some implementations, the set of precoding coefficients may be based on the set of cross layer coefficients. In some examples, the UE may transmit the set of cross layer coefficients and the set of precoding coefficients to the base station.
