Abstract: An apparatus may utilize an air interface to transmit and/or receive a transmission during a first TTI that includes a second set of data overriding a first set of data scheduled for transmission during the first TTI. The air interface may further be utilized to transmit and/or receive a transmission during one or more additional TTIs that includes a third set of data in a data portion of a subframe, and a control channel that is at least partially embedded in the data portion. The control channel may include an override indicator configured to indicate that the first set of data scheduled for transmission during the first TTI is overridden by the second set of data having the higher priority. The override indicator may be transmitted after the second set of data is transmitted. The one or more additional TTIs may be after the first TTI.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to techniques and apparatus for increasing decoding performance and/or reducing decoding complexity. An exemplary method generally includes obtaining a payload to be transmitted, partitioning the payload into a plurality of payload sections, deriving redundancy check information for each respective payload section of the plurality of payload sections, merging the redundancy check information for each payload section with the plurality of payload sections to form a sequence of bits, and generating a codeword by encoding the sequence of bits using an encoder. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: The various aspects include transmitting, by a transceiver of the wireless communications device, an indication of a primary service preference for a primary service and a secondary service preference for a secondary service, receiving, by the transceiver, a radio access technology support configuration from the network at least in part in response to the transmitted indication of the primary service preference and the secondary service preference, and supporting the primary service or the secondary service based at least in part on the channel layer configuration. In this manner, the wireless communications device provides the network with multiple ranked service preferences, so that if a network down selection is needed, the network may select a lower ranked service preference rather than generating a channel layer configuration without knowledge of which settings are most efficient for the wireless communications device.

Abstract: Various features related to decoding jointly coded broadcast information and beam/symbol index information to achieve higher reliability and reduced decoding errors from the perspective of a receiving device such as a UE are described. The apparatus may be configured to receive a first beam and a second beam of a plurality of beams from a base station, the first beam including broadcast information and a first beam index information jointly encoded together, and the second beam including broadcast information and a second beam index information jointly encoded together, determine a first LLR of the first beam, determine a second LLR of the second beam, and decode the broadcast information and the first beam index information in the first beam based on both the first LLR and the second LLR.
