Abstract: Polar codes may be generated with a variable block length utilizing puncturing. Some puncturing schemes consider punctured bits as unknown bits, and set the log likelihood ratio (LLR) for those bits to zero; while other puncturing schemes consider punctured bits as known bits, and set the LLR for those bits to infinity. Each of these puncturing schemes has been observed to provide benefits over the other under different circumstances, especially corresponding to different coding rates or different signal to noise ratio (SNR). According to aspects of the present disclosure, both puncturing schemes are compared, and the puncturing scheme resulting in the better performance is utilized for transmission.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for multi-bit feedback via a sidelink feedback channel. In some aspects, a first user equipment (UE) and a second UE may support a physical sidelink feedback channel (PSFCH) design that is capable of conveying multi-bit feedback across multiple resource blocks. For example, the first UE may monitor for one or more sidelink data messages from the second UE and may transmit, to the second UE over multiple resource blocks of a PSFCH, a feedback message indicating multiple feedback bits associated with the sidelink data messages. The first UE may indicate or otherwise convey the multiple feedback bits via various sequence types or coding schemes. Additionally, or alternatively, the first UE and the second UE may support a resource selection scheme involving one or more parameters associated with conveying multi-bit feedback over a PSFCH.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first wireless device may monitor a set of physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) resources for sidelink messages from a second wireless device. The first wireless device may generate one or more codebooks that include acknowledgement (ACK) or negative acknowledgement (NACK) bits corresponding to the sidelink messages. The first wireless device may transmit one or more feedback messages to the second wireless device on one or more physical sidelink feedback channel (PSFCH) resources in accordance with a sidelink feedback configuration of the first wireless device. The one or more feedback messages may include an indication of the one or more codebooks. The techniques described herein may enable the first wireless device to transmit the one or more feedback messages to the second wireless device with higher throughput and greater signaling efficiency, among other benefits.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless communications systems, a user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of a configuration for transmitting a propagation delay compensation (PDC) report and a reference signal resource for performing one or more round trip timing (RTT) measurements associated with the PDC report. The UE may receive control signaling from the base station which includes a request for the UE to transmit the PDC report which includes the one or more RTT measurements. The UE may transmit the PDC report based on receiving the request from the base station, and the UE may perform one or more PDC procedures based on transmitting the PDC report. In some other examples, the base station may transmit a request to a higher layer to obtain the RTT measurements, and may relay the RTT measurements to the UE for performing the PDC procedures.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a second UE, a first channel occupancy time (COT) sharing request. The UE may transmit, to a third UE, after a time window has elapsed, a second COT sharing request, wherein the second COT sharing request is transmitted based at least in part on the first UE having received no response to the first COT sharing request within the time window or the first UE having received a negative response to the first COT sharing request within the time window. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus, and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for RLC buffer reduction techniques. A wireless transmitter may generate at least one RLC PDU and at least one RLC parity PDU based on an encoding procedure for an RLC SDU. The wireless transmitter may store, in an RLC buffer, the at least one RLC parity PDU for the RLC SDU and transmit, to a MAC layer, at least one of the segmentation of the RLC SDU or the at least one RLC PDU. A wireless receiver may generate RLC PDU feedback for at least one of the RLC SDU, the segmentation of the RLC SDU, or the at least one RLC PDU and transmit, to an RLC layer, the RLC PDU feedback including an indication of an additional number of encoded RLC PDUs and at least one of an ACK_SN or a NACK_SN.
