Abstract:
Systems and methods for wireless communication are disclosed. In one aspect an access point includes a processor configured to generate a message identifying a time period in which the access point will enter a power save mode and ignore a packet sent from any wireless station, and a transmitter connected to the processor and configured to transmit the message to one or more wireless stations associated with the access point.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication are described herein. In some aspects, a method includes determining one or more classes of compatible transmissions from one or more wireless devices. The method further includes defining scheduled time slots for each of the one or more classes. The method further includes defining a channel access procedure associated with each of the scheduled time slots. The method further includes accessing a wireless medium during an associated scheduled time slot according to the channel access procedure by one or more of the wireless devices.
Abstract:
Aspects of the present disclosure provide apparatus, methods, processing systems, and computer program products for time synchronization function (TSF) rollover solutions for short beacons. Aspects of the present disclosure provide an apparatus for wireless communications. The apparatus generally includes a processing system configured to generate a time stamp with a first value of a first portion of a counter and generate a frame including a first field with the time stamp and a second field having one or more bits with a second value of the first portion of the counter, and an interface configured to output the frame for transmission to a receiving device.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for wireless communication are provided. In one aspect, a method for wireless communication includes generating a clear to send message comprising a specific medium access control address (MAC) identifiable by a first subset of a plurality of wireless devices as instructing not to update an associated network allocation vector according to a duration field in the clear to send message. The specific MAC address is not identifiable by a second subset of the plurality of wireless devices such that the second subset of the plurality of wireless devices are instructed to update an associated network allocation vector according to the duration field. The method further includes transmitting the message, thereby reserving wireless communication access for the first subset of the plurality of wireless devices. The specific MAC address is included in one or more address fields of a medium access control header of the message.
Abstract:
In some aspects, a method for configuring channel access parameters in a wireless communication system includes determining, at an access point, a number of a plurality of stations instructed to transmit a concurrent uplink communication. The method further includes selecting, at the access point, an enhanced distributed channel access (EDCA) parameter based on the number of the plurality of stations that are instructed to transmit the concurrent uplink communication.
Abstract:
A method includes determining, at a first transmitter, a clear channel access (CCA) threshold associated with reuse of a first transmit opportunity (TXOP) of a message. The method further includes sending, from the first transmitter to a first receiver, at least a portion of the message, wherein the portion of the message indicates the CCA threshold.
Abstract:
A method of controlling transmissions includes receiving, at a first wireless device, a packet from a second wireless device over a particular channel in a network. The method also includes determining a transmission power of the packet and determining a clear channel assessment threshold for the particular channel based at least in part on the transmission power. The method further includes deferring transmissions over the particular channel to the second wireless device based on the clear channel assessment threshold.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and devices for high-efficiency wireless frequency division multiplexing are provided. A method includes receiving, at a first wireless device, a reference signal from an associated access point, the reference signal indicative of a time of joint transmission with at least a second wireless device. The method further includes transmitting a first communication to the access point based on the reference signal, the communication utilizing a first subset of wireless frequencies available for use. The first communication is concurrent with a second communication, from the second wireless device, utilizing a second subset of wireless frequencies, the second subset excluding the first subset.
Abstract:
A method for configuring channel access parameters in a wireless communication system includes selecting an element identification (ID) from a plurality of element IDs. Each of the plurality of element IDs identifies an enhanced distributed channel access (EDCA) parameter set element comprising at least one channel access parameter for at least one subset of wireless devices in a group of wireless devices. The selected element ID is identifiable by wireless devices of the group of wireless devices and not identifiable by other wireless devices. The method further includes generating the EDCA parameter set element for setting the at least one channel access parameter for each wireless device in the at least one subset. The EDCA parameter set element includes the selected element ID. The method further includes transmitting the EDCA parameter set element to at least one wireless device in the at least one subset of wireless devices.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for multiple user uplink are provided. In one aspect, method for wireless communication includes receiving an assignment of a frequency bandwidth for an uplink transmission of a station. The method further includes determining whether a portion of the assigned frequency bandwidth is unavailable for the uplink transmission. The method further includes selectively transmitting the uplink transmission based on whether the portion of the assigned frequency bandwidth is unavailable.
