Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, apparatuses and computer-readable medium for wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a first base station (BS) associated with a fifth generation New Radio (5G NR) radio access technology (RAT), a command of mobility from the 5G NR RAT to a second RAT. The UE may determine that the command of mobility is for voice fallback. The UE may transmit, to a second BS associated with the second RAT and based at least in part on determining that the command of mobility is for voice fallback, a radio resource control (RRC) connection request communication for attempting to communicatively connect with the second BS for voice fallback.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication and techniques to prevent frequent beam switching. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine a duration of time that the UE dwells on a beam. The UE may update a data structure, stored in memory of the UE, to add or modify a stored duration value associated with the beam based at least in part on determining the duration of time that the UE dwells on the beam. The UE may determine that a condition associated with the stored duration value is satisfied. The UE may modify a priority of the beam in connection with a beam selection procedure based at least in part on determining that the condition associated with the stored duration value is satisfied. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may be configured to join a group call, which may include mission critical (MC) data. The UE may be configured to determine at least one group call service of the group call services to receive. The UE may be configured to establish the at least one group call service based at least in part on the corresponding SDP information received through the broadcasted GDCH.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may identify a bearer (e.g., a default bearer) and request establishment of a second bearer (e.g., a high priority bearer) for use in streaming downlink data from, for example, an application server. The UE may determine a status of a playout buffer and select the first bearer or the second bearer for use in streaming the downlink data associated with the application based on the status of the playout buffer. For example, the first bearer may be used be used by default, and the second bearer may be selected if the amount of data in the playout buffer does not satisfy (e.g., is below) a threshold. In some cases, each bearer may be associated with a transmission control protocol (TCP) port associated with a TCP connection. In some cases, each bearer may be associated with different Internet protocol (IP) address.

Abstract: Transfer of Multimedia Broadcast/Multicast Services (MBMS) over a Single Frequency Network (MBSFN) service and idle mode unicast service for a mobile entity from a source base station to a target base station may be managed by a base station or mobile entity of a cellular wireless communications system (WCS). Operations related to the transfer may include obtaining an MBMS status of the mobile entity, and/or obtaining MBMS support information for the base station. A network entity may facilitate MBMS discovery by a mobile entity, by transmitting a data element to the mobile entity including service identifiers mapped to corresponding cell identifiers to indicate respective MBMS services to be broadcast in an WCS area on adjacent cells identified by respective ones of the cell identifiers. The MBMS services may be broadcast within the WCS area using the adjacent cells previously indicated in the data element.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for transitioning between short DRX and long DRX cycles based on service type to improve performance (e.g., reduce delay) while limiting power consumption. In one example, the UE switches to a long DRX cycle after a DRX Short Cycle Timer, or drxShortCycleTimer, expires. The UE may also switch to a long DRX if the UE receives long DRX MAC control element (CE) from a gNB. In another example, a gNB may configure a radio bearer from a set of radio bearers (data radio bearer (DRB) and/or signal radio bearer (SRB)), denoted by S, to trigger the UE to enter a short DRX cycle.

Abstract: Early termination of enhanced multimedia broadcast-multicast service (eMBMS) is discussed. Forward error correction (FEC) redundancy data is added to broadcast data, such that if enough of the data symbols are successfully received, the data object may be reassembled before the entire transmission has been received. The aspects involve an application processor and modem processor, which may either be integrated into the same integrated circuit or separate components. The application processor obtains a total number of source symbols and a redundancy level for a data object to be received from the eMBMS, receives the successfully received data symbols from the modem processor, and then determines whether the number of successfully received data symbols exceeds a threshold for reassembling the transmitted data object. If so, then the application processor and/or the modem processor can shut down until the next broadcast.

Subsequent to the measurement, the UE may transmit a report of the measurement of the frequency or multiple frequencies to the network node during a radio resource control (RRC) connection procedure based on the measurement reporting configuration.

Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. In a first configuration, the apparatus is an eNB. The eNB constructs an MCCH change notification, and sends the MCCH change notification with a carrier frequency index for a first frequency of a first cell on a second frequency of a second cell. In a second configuration, the apparatus is a UE. The UE receives a configuration with aggregated carriers including a primary carrier from a primary cell and one or more secondary carriers from one or more corresponding secondary cells, and receives an MCCH change notification with a carrier frequency index for a first frequency of a first cell on a second frequency of a second cell. The first cell and the second cell are each one of the primary cell and the secondary cells.
