    Abstract: A transmitting user equipment (UE) may perform resource hopping for a periodic sidelink resource reservation by scheduling a plurality of periodic sidelink resources with a first periodicity, the plurality of periodic sidelink resources being shifted at a first offset in a frequency domain. The transmitting UE may reduce persistent collisions of periodic or semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) reservation of the sidelink resources with another UE. The transmitting UE may transmit, to a receiving UE, sidelink control information (SCI) indicating the first offset and the plurality of sidelink transmissions via the plurality of periodic sidelink resources at the first periodicity based on the SCI. The receiving UE may receive, from the transmitting UE, the SCI and the plurality of sidelink transmissions via the plurality of periodic sidelink resources at the first periodicity based on the SCI.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first network coding device may determine to hand over retransmission of a packet (e.g., the task of retransmitting the packet) to a second network coding device, and the first network coding device may use the techniques described herein to perform the handover. In one aspect, the first network coding device may transmit a negative acknowledgment (NACK) to a user equipment (UE) that originally transmitted the packet, and the UE may transmit a request for any of one or more network coding devices to take over retransmission of the packet. In another aspect, the first network coding device may transmit a request for any of one or more network coding devices to take over retransmission of the packet.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. User equipment (UE), such as vehicles, may implement radar transmissions to detect and avoid potential collisions with a target such as other UE or pedestrians. A first UE may receive an indication of a location of a second UE and an indication of one or more parameters associated with radar transmission from the second UE. The first UE may also receive a radio frequency waveform that includes a first component associated with the radar transmissions from the second UE and a second component that is associated with reflected radar transmission from the first UE. The first UE may compensate for an interference from the first component based on the location of the second UE and the one or more parameters. The first UE may generate a radar image from the received radio frequency waveform based on compensating for the interference.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Examples may include a receiving wireless device located in a first geographic zone receiving multiple signals from one or more transmitting wireless devices. The receiving wireless device may determine based on the received signals that the one or more transmitting devices are located in a second geographic zone. The receiving wireless device may determine configured transmit power information for each of the signals received from the transmitting wireless devices located in the second geographic zone. The receiving wireless device may estimate a path loss of wireless communications between the first geographic zone and the second geographic zone based on the configured transmit powers received in the signals. The receiving wireless device may communicate within the second geographic location based on the estimated path loss between the first geographic region and the second geographic region.

    Abstract: Aspects relate to managing a device-to-device communication link via radio resource control (RRC) layer signaling. In an example operation, a first wireless communication device establishes a unicast link with a second wireless communication device over a device-to-device communication interface and determines that the unicast link is to be reconfigured with at least one updated parameter. The first wireless communication device then sends a link reconfiguration request to the second wireless communication device via a first RRC message over the communication interface. The first RRC message includes the at least one updated parameter. The first wireless communication device receives a link reconfiguration response from the second wireless communication device via a second RRC message over the communication interface based on the link reconfiguration request and determines whether to reconfigure the unicast link using the at least one updated parameter based on the received link reconfiguration response.
