    Abstract: One disclosure in the present specification provides a session management method performed by a session management function (SMF) node. The session management method may comprise: a step of transmitting, to a user plane function (UPF) node, a request message for discarding traffic buffering, when a notification of the detection of particular traffic associated with a wireless device has been received, and if additional authentication is required for the particular traffic; and a step of transmitting a message for triggering the wireless device to establish a new packet data unit (PDU) session, to an access and mobility management function (AMF) node.

    Abstract: One disclosure of the present specification provides a method for supporting service continuity after a terminal performs a handover. The method may comprise: a step of transmitting, when re-assigned from a source user plane (UP) functional node to a target UP functional node in accordance with performing a handover to a target base station, a PDU session creation request message to create a new PDU session with the target UP functional node; a step of receiving a PDU session creation response message including a newly allocated second IP address; a step of transmitting a tunneling request message including information on the newly allocated second IP address and information on a service flow requiring service continuity; and a step of encapsulating a packet, which has been generated with an existing first IP address by an upper layer of the terminal, with a new second IP address by a lower layer of the terminal and transmitting the encapsulated packet to the tunneling entity.

    Abstract: One disclosure of the present specification provides a method for a control plane (CP) function entity creating a session, the CP function entity being in charge of managing a session in a next-generation mobile communication network. The method may comprise the steps of: receiving a connectivity request message from a terminal if the creation of a session is not included in a process by which the terminal attaches to a core network of the next-generation mobile communication; on the basis of information on the type of service to be provided to the terminal, deciding to create, for the terminal, a session that needs to be always-on, or in other words, always-connected; and transmitting, to the terminal, a connectivity completion message including information indicating the session that needs to be always-on, or in other words, always-connected.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for operating a terminal in a wireless communication system, including: transmitting, by the terminal, a mobility registration request message to a first AMF based on a first cell; receiving, by the terminal, a registration accept message from the first AMF, wherein the registration accept message includes a TAI list and a service area list based on a registration area of the terminal; and based on the terminal being registered through a second cell based on at least one TAI that is determined by selecting at least one TAC among TACs that are broadcast based on the first cell, determining, by the terminal, whether or not to trigger a mobility registration request based on the TAI list and the service area list.
