Abstract: A method for monitoring a control channel in a wireless communication system is discussed. The method includes monitoring, by the wireless device, a downlink control channel in a search space of a subframe, wherein the downlink control channel has transmitted based on a localized transmission or a distributed transmission; and receiving, by the wireless device, downlink control information (DCI) via the downlink control channel, wherein the downlink control channel is monitored in at least one enhanced control channel element (ECCE) in a search space, each of the at least one ECCE including a plurality of enhanced resource element groups (EREGs), wherein the plurality of EREGs in each of the at least one ECCE are mapped to one of a plurality of physical resource block (PRB) pairs, for the localized transmission, and wherein the plurality of EREGs are associated with a single antenna port selected from a plurality of antenna ports based on an index of the at least one ECCE and the wireless device's specific information, for the localized transmission.

Abstract: A method is provided for monitoring a control channel in a wireless communication system. A wireless device receives information from a base station for a search space in which a downlink control channel is monitored. The received information further includes first information indicating either a localized transmission or distributed transmission. The wireless device monitors the downlink control channel in the search space of a subframe, in at least one enhanced control channel element (ECCE) including a plurality of enhanced resource element groups (EREGs). If the first information indicates the localized transmission, the plurality of EREGs in each of the at least one ECCE are mapped to one of a plurality of physical resource block (PRB) pairs. If the localized transmission is used, the plurality of EREGs are associated with a single antenna port selected based on an index of the at least one ECCE and the wireless device's specific information.

The UE apparatus for transmitting channel state information includes a channel state measurement module for measuring a channel state based on a level of interference received from a neighbor cell, a channel state information generation module for generating channel state information for a plurality of resource regions or for periodic and aperiodic channel state information reporting modes using the measured channel state and offsets received from a serving BS, the offsets being set for the plurality of resource regions or the periodic and aperiodic channel state information reporting modes, and a transmission module for transmitting the generated channel state information to the serving BS.

An example method for receiving ACK/NACK signals in a mobile communication system is also disclosed. When resources for transmission of data and resources for transmission of control information of the data are scheduled through virtual unit resources, the method identifies information of resources for receiving an ACK/NACK signal for transmission data mapped to information of at least one of a virtual unit resource allocated to the transmission data and a virtual unit resource allocated to control information of the transmission data, and receives the ACK/NACK signal for the transmission data through the information of resources for receiving the ACK/NACK signal.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a method for transmitting an uplink signal includes transmitting the uplink signal including a block of data symbols. The block of data symbols are mapped to at least two sets of subcarrier blocks. The at least two sets of subcarrier blocks are not contiguous in frequency. Since many UEs can transmit CQ pilots, exact channel estimation can he performed and thus communication efficiency can he improved.

Abstract: A method of decoding a backhaul downlink signal is presented. A relay node (RN) receives a higher layer signal indicating a maximum transmission rank from a base station (BS), receives control information containing a resource allocation for downlink data through a relay control channel from the BS, demodulates the control information, and receives the downlink data through a data channel based on the control information. The control information is mapped to resource elements (REs) which do not overlap with user equipment-specific reference signal (URS) REs in a control region which is used for the relay control channel transmission of the BS. The URS REs are reserved REs for URSs according to the maximum transmission rank.
