摘要: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for a handover procedure in heterogeneous networks are provided. In particular, an intermediate handover (IHO) is introduced. Certain aspects of the disclosure involve, a method, performed at a serving base station of a wireless communications network, where the serving base station serves a user equipment (UE). The method includes receiving a downlink (DL) signal quality indicator from the UE; and determining, from the signal quality indicator, whether a condition for an intermediate handover (IHO) state is satisfied. If the condition for the intermediate handover state is satisfied, the serving base station can initiate the intermediate handover state.

摘要: A system and method may provide user equipment (UE)-implemented inter-cell interference mitigation. In some implementations, a method in a user equipment for Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) indicator determination includes separating received Physical HARQ Indicator Channel (PHICH) modulation symbols into two data streams: (1) PHICH modulation symbols including interference from Cell-specific Reference Symbol (CRS) transmissions, and (2) PHICH modulation symbols including substantially no interference from the CRS transmissions. The UE separately evaluates the PHICH modulation symbols including interference and the PHICH modulation symbols including substantially no interference. The UE determines a Hybrid ARQ indicator based upon a combination of the separate evaluations of the PHICH modulation symbols including interference and the PHICH modulation symbols including substantially no interference.

摘要: In some implementations, a method in a user equipment (UE) for supporting time division duplex (TDD) and frequency division duplex (FDD) joint carrier aggregation (CA) includes receiving a Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) resource allocation from an evolved NodeB (eNB). The PUCCH resource allocation includes a first PUCCH configuration for a first subframe and a second PUCCH configuration for a second subframe, and the second PUCCH configuration is different than the first PUCCH configuration. The UE transmits a first group of Hybrid Automatic Repeat reQuest (HARQ) bits based on the first PUCCH configuration in the first subframe. The UE transmits a second group of HARQ bits based on the second PUCCH configuration in the second subframe.
