摘要: A device for feeding and setting an implant into a blood vessel includes a hollow cylindrical portion formed of an expandable wire mesh netting with a first end and a second end, with a sleeve for receiving the implant in a radially compressed state. The sleeve is arrangeable along a guide wire. The sleeve for receiving the implant in the radially compressed state is formed by an inner sleeve, around which at least one outer sleeve with a distal end and a proximal end is arranged. The implant is arranged in the inner sleeve in such a way that the second end of the hollow cylindrical portion is arranged on the end facing the proximal end of the outer sleeve, so that during setting of the implant, the inner sleeve surrounding the implant can be moved into the outer sleeve in the distal direction so that the implant expands, beginning from the second end.

摘要: Methods and apparatus for designing a skull prosthesis are disclosed. In one arrangement, imaging data from a medical imaging process is received. The imaging data represents the shape of at least a portion of a skull. The imaging data is used to display on a display device a first virtual representation of at least a portion of the skull. User input defining a cutting line in the first virtual representation is received. A surgical operation of cutting through the skull along at least a portion of the defined cutting line to at least partially disconnect a target portion of the skull from the rest of skull is simulated. Output data is provided based on the simulation. The output data represents a simulated shape of at least a portion of the skull with the target portion at least partially disconnected from the rest of the skull, thereby defining the shape of an implantation site for a skull prosthesis to be manufactured.

摘要: The present invention relates to a mutant thymidine kinase, specifically a mutant human thymidine kinase 1 (Tkl1). The activity of the mutant thymidine kinase is increased compared to the activity of wildtype thymidine kinase. Provided herein are uses of the mutant thymidine kinase in therapy, such as in cancer therapy. Also methods of treating cancer comprising administering the mutant thymidine kinase are disclosed herein. The present invention relates, inter alia, to a nucleic acid for use hi treating cancer, wherein said nucleic acid comprises a nucleotide sequence, wherein said nucleotide sequence encodes a mutant thymidine kinase.

摘要: The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising complement split product C4d for use in treating an inflammatory condition, such as graft rejection, graft versus host disease, an autoimmune disease or atopy. The C4d to be used may be a multimer. Accordingly, also C4d multimers and their use in medicine, like the treatment of inflammatory conditions, is provided. Furthermore, the present invention provides a protein complex comprising C4d interacting with its ILT4 receptor. This protein complex may be used in screening methods Also antibodies specifically binding to the C4d multimer or the C4d/ILT4-protein complex are subject of the present invention.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method for Magnetic Resonance Imaging to depict an object by an image having pixels representing volume element of the object. The method comprises: Immobilizing the object and acquiring a reference image at a first echo time immediately following an excitation, wherein said reference image is complex-valued, with a reference magnitude value and a reference phase value for each pixel; acquiring a target image of the object with said receiver coil at a pre-selected second echo time, wherein said target image is complex-valued, with a target magnitude value and a target phase value for each pixel; subtracting, pixel by pixel, the reference phase value from the target phase value to obtain a corrected phase value for each pixel; and obtaining said image from said target magnitude values and said corrected phase values.
