Abstract:
According to one embodiment, an image communication method for transmitting image data between a first terminal and a second terminal via a network, the method includes performing a bidirectional image communication including a transmission of first image data from the first terminal to the second terminal and a transmission of second image data from the second terminal to the first terminal, performing a notification to stop either transmission of the first image data or the second image data from one to the other of the first terminal and the second terminal, and stopping either transmission of the first image data or the second image data depending on the notification to perform a one-way image communication between the first terminal and the second terminal.
Abstract:
A communications system for conveying traffic of first and second types comprising: a first network entity being arranged to receive a request from a calling party to establish a communication channel for traffic to a called party identified in the request, the first network entity having means for determining a type of traffic identified in the request and for routing the request to the called party if the request is for traffic of a first type, and means for redirecting the request if the request is for traffic of a second type; and a second network entity arranged to receive the redirected request and having means for routing the request to the called party whereby a channel for traffic of the second type can be established via the second network entity.
Abstract:
The invention comprises a method and apparatus for providing multimedia content to a calling party device. Specifically, the method comprises receiving a multimedia ringback service request in response to a connection request for establishing a connection between the calling party device and a called party device, determining an address associated with the calling party device in response to the multimedia ringback service request, identifying the multimedia content associated with the multimedia ringback service request, and establishing at least one multimedia session with the calling party device using the address where the at least one multimedia session is operable for providing the multimedia content towards the calling party device contemporaneously with establishing the connection.
Abstract:
Provided are a system and method for controlling coupling between communication terminals for audio-video communication capable of performing the audio-video communication with a third external communication terminal by interworking a phone screen of a first communication terminal with a WiFi phone of a second communication terminal. The method includes the steps of: setting up, by a first communication terminal having a video communication function and a second communication terminal having an audio communication function, a coupling mode therebetween; and checking a coupling between the first communication terminal and the second communication terminal by means of a coupling identification code, and setting a speech path for transceiving video data to set up the coupling. Thereby, a plurality of WiFi phones are each coupled with one phone screen by predetermined rules, and any one of the WiFi phones can be used as an individual video phone. As such, a degree of application of the phone screen can be improved, and expensive devices mounted in the phone screen can be saved by the number of the coupled WiFi phones.
Abstract:
An information appliance including a network connection, a telecommunications processor connected to the network connection, and a video processor connected to the network connection may further include a digital camera connected to said video processor.
Abstract:
A method of caller identification in an A/V telecommunication system including a host server with a host server memory communicably connected to an A/V telecommunication device may be performed by detecting by the host server of an incoming call from a source to an A/V telecommunication device. The host server receives source information regarding the source and retrieves identification data associated with the source information by the host server. Identification data is sent to said A/V telecommunication device by the host server.
Abstract:
An A/V telecommunication device may include a network connection, a telecommunications processor connected to the network connection and a video processor connected to the network connection. An integrated audio recorder may be communicably connected to the network connection.
Abstract:
An information appliance including a network connection, a telecommunications processor connected to the network connection, and a video processor connected to the network connection includes a display connected to said video processor and an optical scanner communicably connected to said video processor. When the optical scanner scans an optical code, the display is activated.
Abstract:
An A/V telecommunication device including a network connection, a telecommunications processor connected to the network connection, and a video processor connected to the network connection may include an integrated resource management organizer communicably connected to the video processor.
Abstract:
A network media bridge server manages the delivery of media to an A/V telecommunication device. A network connection connected to a network connected to an A/V telecommunication device. A processor receives commands sent by the A/V telecommunication device. A media connection is connected to a content provider. The network media bridge server provides content to the A/V telecommunication device in response to the processed commands.
