Abstract: Various aspects of the disclosure relate to power control for independent links. For example, power control at a device may be based on transmissions on multiple links. In some aspects, the independent links may involve a first device (e.g., a user equipment) communicating via different independent links with different devices (e.g., transmit receive points (TRPs) or sets of TRPs). For example, the first device may communicate with a second device (e.g., a TRP) via a first link and communicate with a third device (e.g., a TRP) via a second link. In some scenarios, power control for the first device may be based on power control commands received on multiple links. In some scenarios, a power control constraint may be met taking into account the transmission power on multiple links.

In some scenarios, first channel sensing information may be obtained for the first link and second channel sensing information may be obtained for the second link. In some aspects, a decision of whether to transmit via one or more of the links may be based on the channel sensing on one or more of the links. In some cases, the links may be grouped together as a channel sensing group.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A base station may indicate time and frequency resources for a low latency physical downlink control channel (sPDCCH), which may be different from another physical downlink control channel (PDCCH), to a user equipment (UE). The base station may then transmit a common sPDCCH (CsPDCCH) message to indicate which low latency control channel elements (sCCEs) are used for sPDCCH transmission during a given subframe. In some cases, the signaling used to indicate the initial resource allocation for sPDCCH may be infrequent relative to the CsPDCCH transmissions. If some of the resources initially allocated for sPDCCH are not actually used for sPDCCH during a subframe, the base station and the UE may use those resources for communicating data. For example, the base station may transmit data using a low latency physical downlink shared channel (sPDSCH) to the UE using those resources.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A base station may configure a user equipment (UE) with a scheduling scheme to align the retransmission of semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) uplink messages with hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback. Techniques for scheduling the retransmission of uplink messages on resources designated for SPS transmission, as opposed to resources not designated for SPS transmission, are also described. Aspects of the disclosure also include using incremental redundancy HARQ feedback to reduce packet loss at a receiver. In some cases, a base station receiving an uplink message may decode the message using multiple processes based on different assumptions regarding the redundancy version ID (RVID) of the uplink message.

Abstract: Techniques for wireless communication are described. A method for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE) includes identifying a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) to transmit in an uplink pilot time slot (UpPTS) of a subframe, determining whether to transmit uplink control information (UCI) on the PUSCH in the UpPTS, and transmitting the PUSCH in the UpPTS based at least in part on the determining. A method for wireless communication at a network access device includes determining whether to schedule a transmission of UCI on a PUSCH in a UpPTS of a subframe, scheduling the PUSCH in the UpPTS based at least in part on the determining, and transmitting, to a UE, scheduling information for the PUSCH in the UpPTS.

Abstract: A combined symbol constellation may be selected from a uniform symbol constellation that is supported by a de-mapper to provide additional power split options while reducing modifications to the de-mapper. In some examples, a signal may be constructed according to a combined symbol constellation selected from a larger uniform symbol constellation based on a desired power-ratio. The signal may include a base-layer, used to communicate a first set of data, and an enhancement-layer, used to communicate a second set of data, in accordance with the selected combined symbol constellation. The signal may be received and de-mapped according to the combined symbol constellation at a de-mapper that supports a uniform symbol constellation that is larger than the combined symbol constellation.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A wireless device may communicate using a dynamic cyclic prefix (CP) length to reduce communications overhead. That is, the wireless device may use a CP length that is changeable for each data packet or listen-before-talk (LBT) frame. For example, the wireless device may initially communicate using a first CP length and then receive a dynamic CP indication for subsequent symbols in one or more data packets or LBT frames. The wireless device may then communicate using the different CP length based on the indication. In some examples, the indicated dynamic CP length may be based on a cell radius of a base station, a data direction, or the location of a user equipment (UE) in relation to the base station.
