Abstract: Techniques are described that provide for generation of a first transport block (TB) that includes a number of code blocks (CBs) that are transmitted to a receiver during a first transmission time interval (TTI) having a first duration, and retransmission of any unsuccessfully received CBs in a second TTI having a duration that is selected from multiple available TTI durations. The second TTI may have a second TTI duration that is shorter than the first TTI duration, and may have CBs only from the first TB. One or more of a time duration or frequency resources of the second TTI may be selected based on the number of CBs that are retransmitted in the second TTI.

Abstract: Channel reservation systems and methods are disclosed herein, which schedule transmissions on a shared radio medium that is shared by a plurality of licensed network operators. In embodiments, priority access is pre-assigned to the network and the method determines whether to send a transmission based at least on the transmitter's priority class as compared to another transmitter's priority class and to which transmitter the time slot of a signal is dedicated. In embodiments, priority access may not be preassigned to the network and pre-grants may be used in conjunction with CR-Ts and CR-Rs to determine whether a transmitter transmits.

One method includes searching for a synchronization channel on a first raster point of a frequency raster identified for synchronization channel transmission. The frequency raster includes a plurality of raster points in a radio frequency spectrum. The method also includes identifying a pull-in signal on the first raster point; determining, from the pull-in signal, a second raster point of the frequency raster on which the synchronization channel is transmitted; and receiving the synchronization channel on the second raster point. Another method includes transmitting the pull-in signal and the synchronization channel.

Abstract: In a radio air interface, a mixed-numerology carrier is one that multiplexes orthogonal frequency division multiplexed (OFDM) waveforms that have different numerologies onto the same carrier. This disclosure provides for a sync signal (SS) enabling channel access for such a mixed-numerology carrier. In one example, a single SS, having a given numerology, supports channel access for a plurality of numerologies on the mixed-numerology carrier. In another example, a plurality of numerologies on the mixed-numerology carrier each has its own respective SS, and a single, common numerology is used for all SS's. In still another example, a plurality of numerologies on the mixed-numerology carrier each has its own respective SS, where each SS has the same numerology as the numerology for which the SS provides channel access.

Abstract: Described techniques provide for communications using multiple different transmission time intervals (TTIs) while in a configured DRX mode that allows efficient scheduling and allocation of resources, and relatively efficient power usage at a user equipment (UE). In some cases, two or more available TTIs for transmissions between a base station and a UE may be identified, and a DRX cycle configured based at least in part on the available TTIs. During monitoring periods of a configured DRX cycle for a first TTI, the UE may be configured to monitor for control signal transmissions associated with a different TTI duration. In some cases, resources for a shorter TTI may be allocated using a two-stage grant. In some cases, multiple component carriers may be configured for one or more different TTIs, and one component carrier may be used to cross schedule resources on other component carriers.

Abstract: Symbol alignment and power scaling are provided for different length transmission time intervals (TTIs) within predefined boundaries, such as boundaries of a slot of a subframe. Described techniques provide for identifying time and/or frequency resources for one or more TTIs and allocating such resources based on a location within a subframe, pilot signals that may be transmitted using the resources, other processing timelines, or any combination thereof. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may be scheduled for overlapping or concurrent uplink control information (UCI) transmissions on a non-low latency channel (e.g., physical uplink control channel (PUCCH)) and a low latency channel (shortened PUCCH (sPUCCH)). The UE may transmit on PUCCH or on sPUCCH, or both, according to the UE's configuration or capability. The UE may transmit low latency UCI on PUCCH and refrain from transmitting on sPUCCH, or the UE may transmit on sPUCCH and refrain from transmitting on PUCCH. In other examples, the UE may transmit on PUCCH and sPUCCH concurrently. The UE may split power between the PUCCH and sPUCCH so that the combined power of the two transmissions remains within a transmission power budget. In other examples, the UE may switch between concurrent transmissions and transmitting on one channel while refraining from transmitting on another channel.

The transmission structure includes the downlink portion, followed by and time domain multiplexed with an uplink control portion, followed by and time domain multiplexed with the uplink data portion. The method also includes retaining access to the shared radio frequency spectrum band by transmitting an unscheduled transmission during the uplink control portion of the transmission structure.
