    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station in wireless communication with the UE, an allocation of time and frequency resources for an uplink transmission of a first communication type associated with a threshold reliability or latency metric. The UE may monitor a control channel for an uplink preemption indication from the base station, the uplink preemption indication indicating whether the UE should transmit the uplink transmission using the first communication type associated with the threshold reliability or latency metric. The UE may then process the uplink transmission based on monitoring the control channel for the uplink preemption indication.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a transmitting device may perform a pre-distortion of a signal on a resource allocation for the signal and using discrete Fourier transform (DFT)-domain processing. For example, the transmitting device may perform a first frequency-domain (FD) to time-domain (TD) transform, which may be an example of an inverse DFT (IDFT), on a first set of FD symbols to obtain a first set of TD samples. A size of the first FD to TD transform may be based on the resource allocation for the signal. The transmitting device may perform a crest factor reduction (CFR) function on the first set of TD samples to pre-distort the signal in the TD (e.g., in the IDFT domain), which may enable the transmitting device to avoid out-of-band (OOB) emission or otherwise have greater control over where the pre-distortion contributes energy.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may configure a user equipment (UE) with quasi co-located (QCL) associations between a physical uplink control channel and a sounding reference signal (SRS) transmission for at least one time and frequency domain channel parameter. The UE may transmit, in accordance with the QCL association, a control channel transmission via the physical uplink control channel using an antenna port that is quasi co-located with at least one antenna port for transmitting the SRS transmission and transmit, in accordance with the QCL association, the SRS transmission via the at least one antenna port. In another example, the base station may configure the UE with an antenna port association between an SRS transmission and a physical uplink control channel. The UE may transmit the SRS transmission and a control channel transmission in accordance with the antenna port association.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may transmit, and a user equipment (UE) may receive a group physical control channel signaling, which may configure grant uplink transmissions for a set of UEs including the receiving UE. The group physical control channel signaling may indicate allotted resources for configured grant uplink transmissions. The group physical control channel signaling may further indicate a group physical control channel which a UE may monitor for control messages. The UE may transmit a configured grant uplink transmission in accordance with the group physical control channel signaling. The base station may receive the configured grant uplink transmission and may determine a control message which it may transmit in the group physical control channel based on the configured grant uplink transmission. The UE may receive the control message, and may determine whether to retransmit a configured grant uplink transmission based thereon.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of an offset value from a first modulation and coding scheme relating to a first code rate for a payload data transmission. The UE may determine, for a transmission of uplink control information, a second modulation and coding scheme, relating to a second code rate, that is different from the first modulation and coding scheme based at least in part on the offset value. The UE may transmit the uplink control information using the second modulation and coding scheme based at least in part on determining the second modulation and coding scheme. In some aspects, a UE may segment uplink control information. Numerous other aspects are provided.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides for adaptive resource management in new radio operations that adapts a numerology including a subcarrier spacing and/or cyclic prefix for a user equipment (UE) traveling at a high speed. A base station may transmit via a plurality of remote radio heads (RRH) to a user equipment (UE) is moving along a high speed track. The base station may transmit, in a first time period, using a first numerology including a first subcarrier spacing and a first cyclic prefix ratio, a first transmission for the UE. The base station may transmit, in a subsequent time period, using a second numerology including a second subcarrier spacing and a second cyclic prefix ratio, a second transmission for the UE. At least one of the second subcarrier spacing is different than the first subcarrier spacing or the second cyclic prefix ratio is different than the first cyclic prefix ratio.
