    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine an amount of time between uplink allocations that is needed for performing frequency retuning during operation at a subcarrier spacing (SCS). The UE may perform frequency retuning in association with hopping from a first set of frequency resources, associated with transmitting a first uplink transmission, to a second set of frequency resources, associated with transmitting a second uplink transmission, during operation at the SCS, wherein the frequency retuning is performed during a set of consecutive unallocated resources determined based at least in part on the amount of time between uplink allocations that is needed for performing frequency retuning.     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive sounding reference signal (SRS) resource set configuration information that indicates an aperiodic SRS resource set, an aperiodic downlink reference signal resource associated with the aperiodic SRS resource set, and a slot offset associated with the aperiodic downlink reference signal resource. The UE may receive downlink control information indicating that the aperiodic SRS resource set is triggered and determine a quasi co-location assumption for the aperiodic downlink reference signal resource based on the slot offset associated with the aperiodic downlink reference signal resource. The UE may measure the aperiodic downlink reference signal resource in a slot indicated by the slot offset based on the quasi co-location assumption.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a paging early indication (PEI) indicating whether at least one UE in a UE group or a UE sub-group including the UE is to be paged in a paging occasion. In some aspects, a sequence on which the PEI is based is a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH)-based sequence. In some aspects, the PEI is a sequence-based PEI and is received based at least in part on a sequence configuration configured on the UE. In some aspects, the PEI is a sequence-based PEI and is received based at least in part on a distributed resource block allocation associated with the sequence.     Abstract: A first user equipment (UE) that does not support cross-slot scheduling (CSS) and a second UE that supports the CSS may share a paging occasion (PO), and a base station that supports CSS may configure a set of variable K0 greater than zero to the second UE. The base station may page both the first UE and the second UE in the shared PO by transmitting a first paging message for the first UE in the shared PO with K=0, and transmitting a second paging message for the second UE transmitted in the subsequent PO. The first UE may receive a paging scheduling physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) with K0=0 in the shared PO and monitor consecutive POs subsequent to the shared PO to receive the paging message. The base station may also assign separate sets of POs to the CSS-capable UE and the CSS-incapable UE.
