摘要: Dehumidification system including a process blower configured produce a process airflow of the process air and a plurality of dehumidification modules. The plurality of dehumidification modules may be arranged in parallel with each other relative to a process airflow for a portion of a process air to flow over the desiccant in a sorption section of at least one of the dehumidification modules. The dehumidification system may include a plurality of isolation dampers located in the process airflow that is selectively operated to direct the process air through the plurality of dehumidification modules in a plurality of different configurations. The dehumidification system may include a plurality of base dehumidification modules and a plurality of variation dehumidification modules. An interface of the variation dehumidification module shares a common feature with an interface of the base dehumidification module to allow the variation dehumidification module to be interchanged with the base dehumidification module.

摘要: A method of operating a cooking appliance is provided. The cooking appliance includes a cooking chamber defining a plurality of cooking zones, a duct system in fluid communication with the cooking chamber and a convection fan. The method includes receiving a first temperature request for a first cooking zone of the plurality of cooking zones; receiving a second temperature request for a second cooking zone of the plurality of cooking zones; determining an operational parameter of the convection fan based on the first temperature request, the first cooking zone, the second temperature request, and the second cooking zone; and directing the convection fan according to the determined operational parameter. The operational parameter of the convection fan includes at least one of a rotation direction, a duty cycle, or a rotation speed.

摘要: An autonomous solar collector cleaning device includes at least one main shaft, a first driver attached to a first end of the at least one main shaft, and a second driver attached to a second end of the at least one main shaft. The first and second drivers propel the cleaning device along a surface of the solar collector. A first sensor is attached to the first driver to detect an edge of the solar collector, and a second sensor is attached to the second driver to detect the edge of the solar collector. A control circuit maintains alignment of the cleaning device with respect to the solar collector based on outputs from the first and second sensors.

摘要: Disclosed is a method of mapping an in-building water supply installation having multiple controllable water outlets, the installation including a supply of water; in a water flow path between the supply of water and the controllable water outlets, a flow measurement device and a flow regulator; a processor being operatively connected to the flow measurement device and the at least one flow regulator. The method comprises opening a first of the water outlets and processing signals from the flow measurement device with the processor at least until a first flow characteristic is determined; closing the first of the water outlets; repeating the opening, processing and closing operations for each of the other water outlets to determine for each controllable water outlet a respective flow characteristic. Subsequently the processor is configured to; identify the opening of a particular one of the plurality of controllable water outlets based on the similarity of a detected flow characteristic to a respective flow characteristic; and control said at least one flow regulator, based on the identification, to control a supply of water to the identified controllable water outlet.

In accordance with the described techniques, a structural assembly of a solar collector may include various members that are configured to carry torsional and bending loads with relatively low deflections between a reflector and a receiver. In some examples, the described structural assemblies may include a set of edge-sharing tetrahedra or tetrahedral volumes aligned along an axis, which may be supported by chord members that are parallel to the axis. In some examples, the described structural assemblies may include sets of co-rotating and counter-rotating helical structural paths, which may be connected or supported by structural members that are perpendicular to an axis of the helical structural paths, or members that are parallel to an axis of the helical structural paths, or various combinations thereof.

摘要: A dehumidification system includes a compressor, a primary evaporator, a primary condenser, a secondary evaporator, a secondary condenser, a modulating valve, and a liquid-cooled alternate condenser. The secondary evaporator receives an inlet airflow and outputs a first airflow to the primary evaporator. The primary evaporator receives the first airflow and outputs a second airflow to the secondary condenser. The secondary condenser receives the second airflow and outputs a third airflow to the primary condenser. The primary condenser receives the third airflow and outputs a dehumidified airflow. The compressor receives a flow of refrigerant from the primary evaporator and provides the flow of refrigerant to the modulating valve. The modulating valve directs the flow of refrigerant to the primary condenser and to the alternate condenser. The alternate condenser receives a portion of the flow of refrigerant and transfers heat from the refrigerant to a flow of fluid.
