    摘要: The heat treatment method of the present invention includes: a first step of mist cooling a treatment object retained at a prescribed temperature by supplying mist-like coolant, to a target temperature near to and higher than a first transformation point at which a structure of the treatment object begins to be transformed into a prescribed structure; a second step, following the first step, of retaining the treatment object for a prescribed time in a state where supply of mist-like coolant is stopped; and a third step, following the second step, of cooling the treatment object to a temperature lower than or equal to the first transformation point. According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a heat treatment method capable of suppressing irregularity and deformation in the structure of the treatment object.

    摘要: A high frequency heating coil is provided in which a main body part of a workpiece is surrounded by a loop part of the high frequency heating coil and subjected to high frequency heating, and a flange part of the workpiece is sandwiched by first and second lead-out parts of the high frequency heating coil and subjected to high frequency heating. The first and second lead-out parts oppose the flange part and are offset in the axial direction of the workpiece, thereby preventing eddy currents in opposite directions to each other from being generated in the flange part and preventing the flange part from being more difficult to heat than the main body part. The high frequency heating coil can uniformly heat a pipe-shaped workpiece having a flange part projecting radially outward from an outer peripheral face of a main body part.

    摘要: The present invention provides a cooling control method which comprises calculating cooling conditions required for cooling the steel plate to a predetermined temperature for a plurality of positions inside a cooling apparatus based on measured temperatures at a time when the steel plate passes through the cooling apparatus by a thermometer disposed at the entry-side of the cooling apparatus and setting a cooling schedule, calculating a heat transfer coefficient from the set temperature and a cooling water density for cooling one surface of the steel plate, calculating a cooling top water density from the calculated heat transfer coefficient, and controlling the amounts of cooling water of the cooling apparatus based on the ratio of the cooling bottom water density and cooling top water density so as to cool the steel plate to a predetermined cooling end temperature.

    摘要: A quench system includes an enclosure defining a quench chamber sized to receive hot castings, and bulk air fans in fluid communication with the quench chamber and configured to establish a bulk flow of cooling air that surrounds and extracts heat from the hot castings at a first cooling rate. The quench system also includes a pressurized cooling system in fluid communication with a plurality of nozzles within the quench chamber and configured to spray a plurality of a directed flows of cooling fluid onto the hot castings to extract heat at a second cooling rate. The quench system further includes a programmable controller configured to sequentially activate the bulk air fans to cool the casting at the first cooling rate for a first predetermined period of time, and then activate the pressurized cooling system to cool the casting at the second cooling rate for a second predetermined period of time.
