摘要: An automated electric vehicle charging station. The charging station can include a frame to which a vehicle can park in proximity to receive an electric charge. The frame is at least partially underneath the vehicle. The charging station can include an alignment indicator and a charging indicator to alert an occupant of the vehicle to a vehicle alignment status and a vehicle charging status. When the vehicle is parked in a charging position, an electronic charging unit automatically determines a receiving location on the vehicle where the vehicle can receive an electric charge. A charging plug can be stored in the frame and can be actuated out of the frame and travel in multiple directions to the receiving location. Electric charge can then be transferred from the charging plug to the vehicle. When the vehicle is finished charging, the charging plug can be actuated to return to the frame.

摘要: A cable support comprises an elongate supporting structure configured for attachment to a vertical surface. The cable support comprises a boom arm for supporting a cable wherein the boom arm is arranged to slide along at least a portion of the elongate supporting structure. The cable support further comprises a slidable pivot for supporting the boom arm. When deployed, the boom arm slides down along at least a portion of the elongate supporting structure as the boom arm rotates outwards from the supporting structure to provide lateral support for the cable. The slidable pivot supports the boom arm by sliding downwards along the length of the supporting structure during deployment of the boom arm.

摘要: An automated system of charging an electric vehicle (EV) provides a means of adapting any given EV or hybrid-electric vehicle for use with an automated recharging network. An adapter body with a contact plate and a port connector is positioned between the EV and any external power source to electrically connect between said external power source and the existing charging receptacle of the host EV. At least one guidance beacon is mounted to the adapter body and is used to guide the engagement of any external charging equipment onto the contact plate to establish a means of recharging the internal batteries of the EV.

摘要: A charging system for direct current (DC) charging of a traction battery of an electric vehicle includes a stationary charging station and a portable module. The stationary charging station is connectable to a three-phase alternating current (AC) power supply operable for supplying first, second, and third phases of AC current. The stationary charging station has second and third AC/DC converters for the second and third phases of AC current, respectively. The portable module is removably connectable to the stationary charging station. The portable module has a first AC/DC converter for the first phase of AC current.

摘要: A system for conductively charging a motor vehicle includes a charging device and a receiving device. The charging device has an electrical contacting unit and a lifting device operable, for axially moving the contacting unit between retracted and extended positions. The receiving device has a receiving chamber for receiving the contacting element inserted therein when the contacting element is moved to an extended position. The contacting unit has a cylindrical or truncated cone body and includes an electrical contact ring extending around a lateral surface of the body of the contacting element. The receiving device includes a radially position-able electrical contact element along the receiving chamber. When the contact element is in one radial position while the contacting unit is inserted into the receiving chamber the contact element electrically contacts the contact ring and mechanically fixes the contacting unit to the receiving device inside the receiving chamber.
